Hi Guys,

Inevitably, in any war, it’s usually the poor, bloody civilians caught in the middle who bear the brunt of the casualties.

A Marine unit, out on a ‘Search & Destroy’ mission north of Da Nang, comes upon some female civilians who have been wounded by a stray artillery or mortar round... A dead NVA soldier lies nearby.

I’ve just been reading Neil Sheehan’s majestic biography of John Paul Vann and it’s given me a whole new insight into 'Vietnam' and how it was fought... A superb and very even-handed account of one of the most brilliant but conflicted men who fought and died in Vietnam.

A Bright Shining Lie’ by Neil Sheehan, read it if you can.

Best wishes,

Andy

Another inspiring dio Andy. This series still has loads of ‘legs’ and I have the feeling from various sources, more and more collectors are joining the campaign. Well done. Robin.

Many thanks Robin...One of my own humble efforts...Talking of which...

At present, I am working on 2 x Major Dioramas for Chicago’s 40th. Anniversary Show in late September...
One is the front and main gate of Edinburgh Castle (for our existing and upcoming ‘Ceremonials’).
The other is a Roman Temple and street scene...for, you guessed correctly, our Romans!

I am also at the planning and sketch stage of a large ‘Vietnam’ scenario also for ‘Chicago 2020’
And that’s the story so far...All the best,
Andy.

That sounds amazing Andy. Yes hoping you would visit your Romans again. There are 6 Roman Generals somewhere in the pipeline ready to take up residence in your temple^&grin. The street scene is intriguing. Without pushing {eek3}, October has always been a good month in the past, to release Australia Light Horse :wink2:. Vietnam is going to feature big time in 2020 once again, which is great to know. Keep on keeping on. Robin.

And yes your Ceremonial series is excellent also Andy. :salute:: Robin.

Superb Vietnam diorama Andy.:salute::

Not read the book, the film was pretty good.

Obviously things are going to be slow for the next few months because of the Corona Virus having it's effects on pretty much everything as well as our hobby.
But look forward to release of the already previewed Vietnam figures and hopefully others, such as ARVN troops and I'm sure everyone is looking forward to new figures in their own favourite ranges.

In the meantime it's giving breathing room for catch up purchases !

All the Best

Steve

Great news. Can we hope new Romans like civilians, warriors or priests ?

Thank you Andy !
