...is the name of this dio/vignette. This is my first 1/32 scale dio and figure building. The figures have been slightly modified with extra weaponry and some minor painting. The base is scratch built. I have never been interested in figure building because of the difficulty involved in making it look good. This dio has given me the inspiration to get into figure building on a regular bases.

I am a 1:35 modern builder so this is another step for me in the world of building. I will be replacing the soldier in the green camo with another one with similar camo as the other two, when I receive it. So the one in front is a just a tempo.
I have been looking for 1:32 scale insurgent figures but cannot find any. Any tips would be appreciative.

Hope you enjoy the pics:

Great Scene, great figures, current conflicts are really neglected in the toy soldier realm. whats the scale? what are they compatible with?
Ray

The scale is 1/32. I am not sure what scale they will work best with, that are available, if the next scale up is 1/35.

Welcome to the forum. Nice looking dio, and it is very realistic. -- Al

Welcome to the forum. Excellent dio you have there. Although I'm not into modern war, your dio looks very realistic.

tiking...

Welcome to the forum mate. Excellent dio one of the best modern dio's I have seen. Look forward to more of your work
Mitch

hey great work, I'd leave it- the guy in green is meant to be wearing his NBCD suit. quite possible to see a stack up like that- this one marine may have had his other clothes ruined and is wearing this ensemble unti replaced, or he could have been on the last sentry duty and slipped it on for warmth, and never had a chance to take it off yet....
Cool-
These FOV figures are awesome!
There are a lot of 1/35th scale Insurgent type figures- mastebox and dragonm do them, and verlinden has a Taliban st for sure....but hey might be a bit smaller than these.

Grant

Figarti has some good looking insurgents in 1/32 and I believe also in 1/30 scale

Love the modern diorama by the way! This is my favorite era to collect!

Thanks for the comments gents. As i mentioned in ny first post the guy in the green camo is temporary. I have already replaced him. I will look into insurgence figures soon e

insurgents will be tricky but I think hsm is leading you in the right direction- the FOV figures are more 1:35th scale imo so they should work very well with his insurgents.

some say its down to the fact that they are so close to our memory or, still ongoing. I am not so sure about that. For me, I have no interest in the current actions collecting wise but, have a great interest in the Falklands campaign but, there is not much released for that

Maybe manufacturers like figarti doing modern stuff may change collecting habits towards modern conflicts

Very nice.... why are current wars/conflicts neglected when it comes to toy soldiers?

don't loose faith brother, in the overall scheme of things, modern conflicts are very very well represented- it just doesn't appear that way on this forum.

So true about not seeing enough modern figures of todays conflicts. The market is just saturated with WWII sets. shows and events are the same. it is almost to a point.it is no use entering these cometitions because only WWII depicted events will win.

I wouldn't go that far at all my friend. I cannot recall who posted it a couple months ago but someone (i think it was in the shows and reports section) posted some AMAZING Modern models and I believe they were prize winners.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why there isn't more interest. I do believe that WW2 will fade a bit as the heroes of this generation start to age and people better appreciate what they are going through.
