I am posting here since this is the most popular part of the forum. I usually enjoy reading all the posts, but recently most are filled with attacks or criticisms towards John Gambale. I don't know him personally, and I don't mind his requests for figures or vehicles. His post will be one extra to read, but when everyone comes up with their "witty" replies it is more chaff I have to plow through. Give the man a break.

Same, he's just a guy with wishes, what are we without free thinking?:)

What's the Forum without John Gambale? A bit boring. He's enthusiastic, but that's what I like about him.

unfortunately, john gambale has a natural talent of bringing up people's emotion.
if you have the luxury of time, prowl thru john's record of posts, and you will see the never ending and never changing pattern.

Anyone can use the block feature on this Forum and avoid seeing any of his posts.

I think there are a lot of back stories here that underly the comments.

As for defending him, the generic points I will agree with as far as free thinking, wish lists, etc. those are good points. BUT to specifically defend this particular person, I can't agree. I will leave you some food for thought:

Think about it from the opposite perspective and the saying that "people bring muck upon themselves by their past, present and future actions".

This fella sounds entertaining, stuck in the office with lunch coming up I think I'll have a look at his posts.

Can anyone really be that bad on a toy soldier forum?

Actually yes but I don't think he is one on them. It does seem it has become a reply magnet and certainly he is entitled to express his views but as long as the witty comments are in jest, which they basically seem to be, what does it matter?

I think the issue is that someone will create a post on a new purchase and then everyone will comment on how great it is or they want one or have order one and then Mr G comes along and has nothing to say about the thread at all except that he wishes X would make ..............

This is spot on.John has absolutely every right to post his wanted items whenever he wants in the suggestions thread that was created for him and others. However if you post a thread that is discussing an item and it then becomes an 'i want' thread, people think all the author of the thread wants to do is suggest more stuff, when they really just want to talk about a subject.

John makes some great suggestions, its all about where you put them.:)

Good the thread isnt about the other chaff,I would have to comment on my father the B17 aircrewman mentioning usually chaff was tossed out still in the case unopened as were leaflets rather then in the dispensor on the grounds of being useless,,hopefully the volk had their stalhelms on
