It's a fantastic piece. I don't think you'll be dissappointed.

I ordered it too late yesterday for delivery today,so i have to wait until tommorow. Not easy when you are an 8yr old trapped in the body of a 43 yr old!;)

When I Purchased My Winter Chaffee At The West Coaster, I Didn't Open The Box Until I Got Back To The Hotel Room And When I Did, There Was The Barrel Laying In The Bottom Of The Box, But I Was Fortunate Enough To Get A A Perfect Replacement Before I Left San Diego, So I Am Sure That The Retirement Was Due To Quality Work And Nothing More, Now Andy Will Have To Build Another American Tank To Replace That One!!sammy

When I received my Winter Chaffee the entire track section on one side was in pieces but was quickly replaced by the dealer. I just received the Olive Chaffee and it to had damage, a broken machine gun and turrent barrel. I hope the replacement one will be OK when it arrives. Maybe KC was having a lot of problems with this tank.

All this talk about broken Chaffee's made me nervous

I went back and checked my Tanks again - and all is well with everything :)

Thanks Again - Treefrog !

After reading all this stuff I was a little nervous about opening un opened items bought on ebay or from a dealer even. So far so good. Will open the other ones soon and hope for the best.

I wonder if that as these tanks had a very short production period, the price for them will quickly go up?.

Maybe KV;).I just got mine and its a great tank.Love the stowage and whitewash paint job.Looks cool next to my other Bulge vehicles.

Recieved one of each today.......DD version damaged! That makes the 3rd damaged King & Country item this month! Something is wrong here, and I am a big fan!

I think it may be the quality control at the factories, which is why Andy is always traveling back to the mainland I assume. Nothing worse then opening a box full of damaged goodies:eek:

That's awful Njja :(

To get three damaged in one year would be to much, but in one month

Your taking all this rather well.

I just ordered the same two that you did. I let you know what happens.

Hi John,

I am very sorry about your bad luck with the Chaffee. I have ordered the BoB Chaffee and I am hoping it arrives without mishap. After some lengthy conversation with a dealer friend of mine, I am convinced that the breakage that occurs during shipping is the reason for the early retirement of this set.

Given the problems that seem to coming to light with the Chaffee, I will be exceedingly careful in handling it. They certainly appear to be fragile.

Again, I am sorry about your tough luck.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Thanks guys, I appreciate the sentiment, but at least all the items that were received damaged are easily replaced. I am most greatful for all the wonderful items I have received in the past that came through without a problem.

It points out the difficulities Andy faces, everyone seems to want more detailed tracks with no clutter, but that also makes them quite fragile. Personally I never could figure out how an item can make the journey from somewhere in mainland China to Nutley, New Jersey in one piece anyway!

At least most of my delivery guys are great........the mailman has agreed to testify for the wife about all the packages in the event of divorce.....(not likely after 38 years!)
Fedex guy always brings everything up onto front porch and rings the bell.
UPS.......well ever since I used the spike strips and blew out all his tires he pulls up driveway and tosses boxes up against one of the garage doors (with the hope you won't notice and drive over it!)

I figure two out of three isn't bad!:D

John, Sorry to hear about the Chaffee. They are really great tanks. Track damage is a pain. The nice thing is that it will be taken care of rather quiclkly I expect. Some dealers have replacements available. Hopefully yours does. The bright side is now you may have extrsa parts for a damged tank dio.
