Hi All:

Just a reminder we will be at the Chancellorsville Visitor Center the weekend of May 4/5 for the 150th Anniversary commemoration events there. A reenactment will also be taking place in the area. Ken will be on hand to talk about sculpting, we'll have a table of free kids toy soldier painting, some custom Hudson & Allen dioramas of Chencellorsville on display as well as a few new figures. A few sets of "The Last Meeting" and Hooker have been specially flown in early the for the event. It promises to be a fun weekend for all.

Also put on your calendar June 29-July 3, we will be appearing at various sites around Gettsyburg for the big 150th events there!

On the road with W. Britain.

Richard

Would love to go to these events... The life of a cop equals Vacation scheduling nightmares :/
Will you be in Gettysburg all five days Richard?
Best,
Josh

Hi All,
Richard and I will be on our way to Chancellorsville midweek and will be there for the 150th on the 4th and 5th. We will be at the visitors center all day both days and hope to see a few of you along with all of the other folks that will be visiting.
I will be set up inside talking about researching and designing the figures for our ACW line and will have a power point slide presentation showing the original sculpts along with some work in progress. This will be a good opportunity to see a preview of whats coming in the next catalog too!
I just finished a small display to take along to the event and I thought some of you might like to see a few images...Probably nothing you would want to see if you were a Yankee infantryman.

All the Best,
Ken

Wow that display looks fantastic. I have a lot of those same Confederates.

I got a call from Richard this morning and he insisted that we see the Yankee line collapsing, so here it is...

I hope you enjoy,
Ken

I really like your use of the trees and the background - the background makes a big difference.

Speaking of collapsing: Are you and Ericka attending the MFCA or, in order to avoid a "collapse", pass this opportunity?

I do hope you guys come to Valley Forge. Would love to say hello and maybe pick up some stuff.

Brad

Did any member of the forum attend the event?..........The Lt.

I was at the 150th and did all the real time walks! The park did a fabulous job. My favorite walk was the 6 am walk at "Sunrise at Hazel grove"

I saw the Britains site at the Chancellorsville visitor center. I liked the tree diorama.

Had an outstanding time! Brad

Oh, and also liked the Flank March and Catherine Furnace walks. And no ticks! :)

So how was this event for Britians? Did anyone snap any pictures?

Sorry Lo. Didn't snap any pictures of the Britains table. But I did see they had their nice Cracker Box meeting set. Looks outstanding! Especially like Jackson in the raincoat he was wounded in.

Hi All,
Ericka, Colin and I arrived to the battlefield Visitor's Center bright and early and folks were already waiting to chat with us. The weather was bit colder that predicted but other than that you couldn't have asked for a better weekend. I am sure all of the re-enactors in wool uniforms found it a blessing. For those of you that might still visit this site there are some wonderful artifacts on display including an almost complete identified uniform of an enlisted man of the 114th PA, turban and all.

We were so busy we did not have any time to snap any pictures either day and both of the dioramas we took were sold, so other than the images I posted earlier in this thread, that is it.

We did have a few cases of #31172 'The Last Meeting' and Eastern National Exclusive #31191 Billy Yank and #31190 Johnny Reb flown in for the event and I think they all sold. We gave some sneak peeks of upcoming sets on our lap top when time allowed. I will post some of these images here when the catalogs are mailed next month.

Look for an exciting new diorama contest give away in the next issue of TS&MF magazine. I showed pictures of this too at the event. Over twenty W. Britain figures and a custom diorama from Hudson & Allen Studio with a Gettysburg theme! Think Gettysburg and the 114th PA...

All the Best,
Ken Osen
