WOW, I GUESS THE OLD MAN UPSTAIRS IS TELLING ME TO QUIT BUYING ON EBAY. THE MORE YOU TAX SOMETHING THE LESS YOU GET. THE LOWER THE TAXES THE MORE TAX REVENUE YOU TAKE IN.

WOULD TAKE IN HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS INSTEAD THEY LOST HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS WHICH I AM SURE BLEW UP THERE NEW BUDGET

Yes don't some states have a sales tax? I think there are only 5 that do not have some form of sales tax, which is in some way what VAT is? It is only Americans that call it Socialised Medicine, we call it a National Health Service, we know it is not free and the money comes out of Taxes/National Insurance paid on our wages. It is heavily supported in the UK and i for one do not mind paying my taxes for it. Never paid for healthcare, friends and relatives paid nothing to the hospital to have a child, very very few people here go bankrupt because they become ill and have to pay for medical care. If anyone in the US gets a few minutes, then just put in 'Americans living in Europe and healthcare' into Youtube and listen to what they have to say to see what your fellow Americans think.

State sales tax varies from state to state, it usually runs in the 6% or so range, it's not even close to VAT, states then use that money for projects and such.

The healthcare in the US depending on the state you live in is second to none; I'll let my mate in the UK know how great your medical system is, the same mate whos wife had a raging headache, she went to the hospital, they gave her aspirin and sent her on her way, she died in her sleep from a brain aneurism.

Sounds like your health care is top shelf.

The tax in Illinois is 10% and it is something I considered when buying on ebay. I hope the buyer's fee does not come to the USA.
