Hi all, I had a chance to do a little updating to the forum today and made some improvements.

First up is the Plastics and Paper Soldiers section. I think a lot of people didn't realize we had a section for discussing plastics since you had to scroll down quite a bit to get to it. Because of this a lot of people were posting in the Plastic How-tos area instead.

I have moved the Plastics and Paper Soldiers Forum higher up for better visibility and we have begun the process of moving the general plastic discussion and threads about specific manufacturers and products out of the How-To section to the Plastics and Paper Soldiers.

While moving threads we noticed there were a few manufacturers that had garnered enough discussion to be gathered together and added as sub-forums.
Barzo and HaT have been added as well as a general plastics discussion area.
It's great to see this part of the forum so active.

Secondly a suggestion was made to add an area to the forum for new members to introduce themselves and be welcomed. I have added this to the former 'Miscellaneous' area which has been renamed the Treefrog Chat Lounge.

I hope you enjoy these additions and changes and find them helpful.
Best regards,

Any thought about having a section devoted to civilian figures, like K&C's "Streets of Hong Kong" and the Britains "Petticoats" series?

Yo Trooper, you have two K&C threads and two Britains threads Matt & Gloss. It doesn't matter what the subject matter is, if its made by either company it goes under that thread. Simples:).
Bernard.

My thought was that those interested in civilian figures may not want to wade through all those Napoleanic and Zulu-related postings!

Good point. The number of posts of civilian models will likely be small and get buried amongst all the other threads.

Hi Kreddy,
I am always open to adding new subforums if the interest and critical thread and post mass are there.
You may want to start a thread in the General Toy Soldier Discussion devoted solely to civilian figures and see where it goes. There are single threads such as the 'Bored Tonight' diorama and W. Britain Zulu threads that have really taken on a life of their own and have become almost like subforums themselves.

I'll be watching for civilian discussion!
Best regards,
