A small detachment of the Royal Guard comes marching through.

An impish boy takes advantage of the opportunity to try to sell his wares.

The blind man attempts his luck as well.

Robert, the postman takes a break from his duties to watch the procession.

However, the hobo doesn't have a care in the world and continues on his merry way.

Guard figures are from Trophy's Pageantry series, civilian figures are from Trophy's Town & Country series and the buildings are by King & Country (pardon the French writing :))

He, he ^&grin I wanted to see how long it would take you to see that.

Excellent Brad, this is right where it should be {bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}

Cheers

Martyn:)

Brad,

I love this neat display which brings together some of what I enjoy collecting, namely the Foot Guards Regiments of the Household Division, Trophy civilians and the K&C Normandy Village facades. :wink2:

Out of curiosity, is there a plume on the left side of the bearskin head-dress of the marching guardsmen? The mounted officer has the white-green-white plume of the Welsh Guards on the right side (should be on the left) of his bearskin top.

Thanks for putting this together. You made my day.

Raymond :)

Raymond,

I think you actually made my day. It's nice to do something that others get a kick out of.

In answer to your question regarding the marching Guardsmen, there is a plume on the left side of their hats.

Joe Saine had a presentation box for this series at Chicago. I forget how much he wanted. It was BBP1, Trooping the Colors. There is a blurry picture on the Trophy at Chicago thread.

Brad,

Thanks very much for the your reply on the left sided plume on the bearskin head-dress. There are only two Guards Regiments with left sided plumes: the Grenadier Guards (all white plume) and the Welsh Guards (white-green-white plume)

I managed to find Tommy's thread on the Trophy Pageantry Series with great photographs of some of the Guards Regiments and more. He also has pictures of Trophy Set BBP1.

For others who may be interested, the link is: http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?32798-Pageantry-Series

Now that I am all fired up, I hope I don't risk paying a King's ransom for a hard to find Trophy set, otherwise I shall be the first off the cliff. ^&grin

Raymond :)

Hi Brad and Raymond: For photos of "Trooping The Colors" Look at my post#9 in the thread "Pagaentry Series". Tommy

Raymond and Tommy,

Thanks for the links. I hadn't realized Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip
were in the box. Nothing like seeing Guardsmen marching.

Brad

Nice touch brad, very interesting and gets the imagination going. Thanks for posting something original
