Charge of the Light Brigade (1 Viewer)

Finally made up my mind.
After reading so much about the Crimea releases - gonna order them up tomorrow after a visit to the bank. Even got the go-ahead from "She Who Must Be Obeyed". Just a mega-drag that I'm paid in US$ and you can't obtain these figurines in HK.

Thanks for all the great reviews of these figures guys - and plunging my credit card into debt - again.

Cheers

Tony,

I missed the bank today for reasons that had better remain between me and that empty case of Tsing Tao. Little Boss has given her express permission to buy the Crimean sets, so I'll enter the order before she changes her mind. IE. tomorrow.
Meanwhile, I've rediscovered one of the best movies ever made and will be watching it again tonight.
Big Joe, Little Joe, Cowboy, Kelly, Oddball, etc.
Must admit that I've always wondered if that was a real Tiger in the movie?

Cheers

Hi Guys,

Me again, many, many thanks for the very enthusiastic response to King & Country UK’s first Crimean War releases.

This project has been many months in development and Mike, Tony and Bob have been a delight to work with on it. Although they clearly have their own particular “wants and must-haves” they have also allowed me, as the designer and our K&C sculptors, to have total artistic freedom to work and develop a little of the “K&C magic” into the series. Obviously at all stages of development we consult each other but their enthusiasm and ability to trust our artistic judgement has been “second-to-none”. All of us here at K&C headquarters and in China are really looking forward to the next release and subsequent ones.

So, once again, muchos gracias for the many kind compliments and a big thank you to K&C UK for taking a mighty plunge!

Best wishes and...happy collecting!

Andy C.

I might be wrong here, so please bear with me if so. I believe the Crimean War holds a place in the minds of those of us from "North of the Border" because it was the first time a Victorian war had been covered by the new breed of war correspondents. For the first time, the folks at home were able to read about (and see in photos) what could possibly be their relations complete in full highland uniforms conducting the sort of warfare that was soon to be the norm. IE. Trenches, wounded, mud, etc.

Just MO.

Cheers

Harry

Your right it was one of the first wars to actually have the 'press' there. Which makes for a well documented war.

The charge of the Light Brigade is EXCELLENT...BUT.....I still love the Napoleonic generation.....If the Light Brigade is doing well in design I'm sure Andy will follow suite with the Napoleonic range.

WELLINGTON

I just finished to watch the fourth part of the dispatches and had a look at some of the upcominig figures (masters) so, I bring back this thread.

I can't wait for the December releases. The figures from that serie are amongst the best ever produced by K&C.

For those who are going to Chicago, take advantage of the no shipping fees and free customs fees to buy the four first releases, they worth their price.

Pierre.
