Yo Troopers, considering selling the Chas Stadden superb ACW Chess Set. As Chess sets go its out on its own, but its not just a Chess set its models that are just sheer class, even look like the people that took part in the War. Chas Stadden was out on his own when it came to sculpting figures. Anyway don't want any time wasters please the postage alone will be around $220.00 it weighs 35lb in its mahogany case without any packing. If you are interested you can view it at your leisure by going to my Chas Stadden Chess album in my profile page to make your mind up about it. Please don't reply to this thread, email me at pokerrack@hotmail.com

Yo Troopers, notice there were a lot of lookers but no takers {sm4}. Dont tell me you guys don't know when you are looking a gift horse in the mouth:rolleyes2:. These sets are as rare as HENS TEETH, not even the ACW museum has a set, now that says something. Thought you guys over there were the big money earners lol. I have all the documents for this set, but no chess board, but a guy on ebay USA (the Chess store) sells ACW Chess boards with 2 1/2" squares for this set. So I will finish by really putting the frighteners on^&grin. In 1985 this set cost £1,250.00 = $2,059.00 today's monetary value would equal £2,962.00 = $4879.00. But this Trooper didn't say what price he was going to sell it for did he:rolleyes2:.
BTW anyone with a load of spare Chas Stadden single models could always use them as a swap{sm3}
Forgot to mention reason for sale is being an all American War is something I find hard to relate to, its different with the Revolutionary War set, we British where there even if we did get are butt's kicked out DOH.
Bernard.
