Well as about half the forum packs up to go to Chicago let me just say three things. First please take lots of pictures so that I can see what I am missing. Second thank you to all of you that post those pictures and impressions of what they see (With a special thank you to Steve Chong who did a great job last year). Three I really do not like any of you since I cannot go and I should be able to go and that is not fair.

If you do have the time these are the soldiers I am most interested in hearing and seeing about:

1. K&C Napoleonic soldiers.
2. K&C Surprise. This rumor has been around so long I would just like to know if it is true or not.
3. Britain Napoleonic North Wall add on soldiers. I would like to know how they compare to the original as far as size.
4. Britain Yorktown set. Man these look so good I am really tempted.
5. Britain Civil War sets.
6. Honor Bound Kitchen Set
7. NMA Afrika Korp paratroopers. Would like to know how they compare to K&C paratroopers.
8. Anything else that is really cool

Thanks again for all the reports. Last year there were great pictures and reports. While it is not as good as being there it helps.

Take care and safe journey.

There others like myself that are staying home and suffering the pain & agony of not being able to be at the Chicago Show. You know beating our forum friends to some special toy soldier every that everyone wants. Bragging rights count for a lot in this line of collecting you know.
I do so much want to be there. Lets hope someone will have mercy on use stay at homes and set out many messages with photos.

I'm here in Schaumburg and all is quiet on the northern front. I got here last night a little after midnight because my flight was delayed due to the weather but its very nice today. Well I better get back to class and I'll see some of you on Wednesday.

Alex: Seeing you are there early maybe you can get some yellow tape and mark off a Treefrog VIP parking area close to rear door. Leadmen

For those of you already there. I really do not like you. I can't help but notice that postings on the forum have already slowed down.

Would like to add one request. Would somebody take a look at Patriot's Napleonic soldiers and let me know how they compare to K&C.

Take care and have a blast,

Old Guard

I would but its a bit chilly this morning and I didn't bring a jacket. Maybe this afternoon, how about 20 parking spots. :)

Alex: It looks like a chilly and rainy weekend. Better go to mall and get a sweatshirt or jacket. It will be cold out there keeping those other guys away from our VIP parking. Maybe there are some orange barrels or cones you can use. Leadmen:rolleyes:

Cold? You want to talk cold?

It's 43 degrees here right now and they are talking about a chance of frost tonight.

Yikes! Why DO we live in places like Minnesota.

It was 92 degrees here yesterday. I am looking forward to some cool, fall like weather. In fact, I hope it is raining. I can't remember the last time it rained here (April?).

It should warn up a few degrees. I think I will be better off buying an umbrella. It looks like rainy weather Thurs through Sun.

Minnesota is known for being one of the colder states in our union. It's something people around here get pretty proud of, actually.

In some places they complain if they get snow. Here the complaint is that there hasn't been enough of it.

Oh well, I've learned to live like a Minnesotan. Only a few more months before we ice fish (that's fishing through holes in the ice, for those who have not heard of it).

Pete

I love to watch "Grumpy Old Men" and "Grumpier Old Men" simply because the action is based in Minnesota.

I'd love to go to make genealogy researches. A lot of Bousquets settled in that state (while it was still a territory) during the XIXth century (St.Paul).

Pierre.
