chipping paint on figures (1 Viewer)

To cover some of the Basic Care and Handling Procedures for those who care to listen.........These 3 are Big.....IMO

Always wash hands before handling figures / Keep direct sunlight away from your figures / Room climate is the best. Avoid extreme Temp changes as in a garage or storage building.

Keep buying them as they are quite Fun and a pleasure to own !!!

What series were those figures from 2010 ?

Wayne

I write it in a post down:

"The series which are affected in my collection are French WWI, Kriegsmarine, AK from 2010 (Guard in overcoat, guy stripped to the waist with jerrycan), Club Figures (Doolittle, Orde Wingate , the fat scottish officer), EA always from 2010, Some WH also from 2010. Never ever experienced something similar with other figures from other ranges and years of production so i presume is a batch of bad undercoating. For example the paint could become a bit rough in some figures but it doesn't fall off . I'll take some pic to show it. "
Obviously mine was not a critic to K&C (even if for a time i stopped buying them), but probably in a period of expanding production probably happened this . I repeat, with older (and i can say newer figures , because i have purchased the new PnM series) figures i can handle them, expose to air or other, even drop them. No flaking. For those 2010 figures there's no question, you just take them from the boxes, put them on the shelf and when you look at your hand you see the paint remaining on it. It's pretty annoying.
p.s. when i write "2010" i mean just that. I think you all noticed that under the figures in nearly every series (except FOB) there's the year of production. This doeesn't mean that for example the new french figures , or the new AK are affected by this. They are perfect i presume because not manifactured in 2010.

Some Photos would be good if you can provide them !

The only paint issue I've had with King & Country was after dropping one of them
