My Son is a very particular collector, wonder where he got that from...................Anyhow, he only collects Aeroart or Russian, Beau Geste and vintage K&C Glossy. He has an affinity for the old K&C. Last year for Christmas he received the original Beatles set, the original Elvis for his birthday and this year...........................the holy grail - Les Mis. I was very fortunate to be able to purchase it and give it to him. In all my years of collecting, I have only ever seen it twice. Here it is on display

Amazing pick up Tom!
Thanks. Honestly, he loves the set, for me finding it was the thrill. Toy soldier collecting is interesting. For a great many items, I love them too and finding them is fun, for some items, the thrill of the hunt is crazy too. I keep a list of holy grails. Sadly, still many on that list because they just don't want to be found yet!

I am the same way. My holy grails include the Trophy WWI Motor Ambulance, the Heco Tinplate Models WWI German Gunboat and the Honour Bound Gold Edition Sturmtiger. I have never seen any of them in person, and have been looking for them for years. Someday ...
