Bringing new hope to a troubled world...
Your photo made me immediately think of the old BBC tv comedy "Steptoe and son" ! ^&grin
Steve
One of my fav shows from back in the good old days, always got a laugh from their antics.
The Seven Septoerai' is my favourite Steptoe episode televised in 1974, Henry Woolf guest starred, he later played an evil little alien in a classic Dr Who story called The Sun Makers in 1977. Wow, now I feel as old as Albert Steptoe {eek3} ^&grin
Those were the days, feeling and getting older is not a bad thing, better than the alternative. A friend told me he was getting old and knew it. He said his only dreams about dating 2 women now are 1 to clean and 1 to cook. He came up with a new business idea, a superfast stairlift, one which gets you up the stairs fast enough for you to remember why you went upstairs for!!!!
Every night on one of the TV channels there are always 2 or 3 episodes of Porridge, Ronnie Barker was a comic hero. There is also the odd episode of The Good Life.
Not a big Dr Who fan, but still remember Space 1999 and Danger UFO, a little different but still fantasy.

I also like the shows you mentioned, I still find it a surprise that the actor that played Lennie Godber in Porridge was the Father of Kate Beckinsale. What about 'Man about the House', that was a huge hit in Australia and ahead of it's time featuring a single Guy sharing a flat with Two Females.
