There aren’t too many left like him, considering he raced along the edge of heaven at well over Mach 1 my bet is he isn’t a stranger up there!

RIP, every aviation enthusiast owes his actions an eternal debt of gratitude......
 
Wow, didn't realize he was still living. Just read about his WWII escape (again) in Masters of the Air. RIP to a great aviator. Chris
 
Not many test pilots live as long as he did R.I.P. General.

General Yeager was an anomaly: a bold pilot that lived to be an old pilot. It’s crazy to think that his most famous achievement of breaking the sound barrier occurred over 73 years ago! He was a true legend and will be missed.
