Civil War series (1 Viewer)

I hope they both do wildly sucessful and become huge so we can allmake Gettysburg and trench warfare dioramas

I have bought the K&C WW1 series and like it, also bought all the new matte Britains WW1 sets. But when I picture WW1, I see soldiers in the later war uniforms, helmets etc.
I know early war uniforms are a bit more colorfull, but to me, it doesn,t represent the true WW1 feeling.

I agree. To me WWI is the 1 st July 1916 and the Battle of the Somme. The Battle of Verdun is also iconic. I just wish the guys would get on and do those two battles.

It would be nice if you guys would post some pics to illustrate your points like lolly-gagging. Now I myself has used this phrase often enough, but have never seen anyone attempt literal lolly-gagging. One might assume this has something to do with a reflex action.

As for the pics here is an ACW vignette I just cast

I personally do not understand why lolly-gagging ACW soldiers would not have appeal, but I can see why action poses would have greater appeal.
As far as WWI, I would be interested in some Gallipoli or even African theatre sets. I actually prefer the early war uniforms, but not because of the color. I find them interesting because, (except for in all the new WWI lines) I never see them. They are not stereotypical WWI, and, from a historical standpoint, I think they do well to represent just how wholly unprepared the world was for the new style of warfare. I mean, a display of French soldiers in red pants and blue coats or British Lancers charging a machine-gun nest would convey that point quite well, I think.

One fellow seems to be holding a flame thrower. Very cool.
