To hot down here to paint more fun to just get some troops out
my brain has been melted by the sun could not think of a title so just made it simple.
Most of these troops are plastic with some metals in the mix.

WOW those paint up nicely! I see you even used brown for the Union canteens. I have one repro in brown and one in dk blue wool for reenactments early or late war.

Do you coat your figures with anything to prevent paint chipping?

Great looking collection and exceptionally well painted-

"Nobody does the Civil War like Conte"-one of the more accurate statements made by Conteco.

Great display-I like it.

Vamp...Well said .
UKReb could not agree more it was Conte that pulled me back into the hobby back in 2003.
walking in to Peter Nathen's ToySoldier shop in 2003 and seing that union flag bearer i just had to have him.
went back 3 weeks later and picked up the Reb with missing arm.....Have been hooked on Conte CivilWar ever since.
Scott.....I never have a problem with chipping as i give them a matt varnish coating.
Storing hundreds of painted plastics is not to hard some go in a display cabinet others i place in those small zip lock bags (one fig per bag).
then i just store them in plastic tubs......:)

An impressive collection. I really like the regimental groupings in such large numbers. -- Al

i think i spotted the britians!:D

great work rob.
i hope to have half the ppainting skills you have.

Thanks for the Feedback....I plan on setting up a lot more ACW plus i realy enjoy painting these troops.
Yep a couple of the older WBritains in there..:)
Have some Blackcat troops on the way so they should be fun to paint and throw into the mix
Thanks Again.
Rob,

As always it's great seeing the results of your painting skills coming to life when you bring them out to play Rob. Looking forward to seeing your additional troops making their appearance.....Joe
