Club Figures and Standard? (3 Viewers)

Guys like I said before things are improving and product is forth coming.

Now Walsingham if your friend has not gotten his figure from two years ago than he is either stupid or the laziest person in the world. All he needs to do is Get on the phone or email and get that problem fixed. I have moved three times in the last 4 years and always contact the club to get the address updated and make sure my figures and Standard are posted to the correct address. I have not had an issue with club figures not showing up. Now if your collecting a line that isn’t doing it for you with Britain’s then go to k&c or t g and buy what you want. If it’s all gloom and doom in your eyes spend your money somewhere else and stop complaining to the folks on this part of the forum about had bad it is and move on.

Jomartvr dealers move stock all the time on eBay and at reduced prices so great if you want them but this doesn’t spell the end for Britain’s. Britain’s just doesn’t set prices like some companies in our hobby do so dealers can move items that are sitting around to free up space etc, I’ve seem dealers do this for years with lots of figures but the company is still here.

Couldn't agree more!

I had a chat with Katie at the UK Collectors Club, and it seems that the figures are still in China and hopefully will be here by the end of the year!

The Standard is awaiting publishing and should have both outstanding issues by the end of the year!

This information is only what poor Katie has been given by WB (I really wouldn't want her job!)

On a positive note, the evening event figure will be available on the night. :smile2:

Lets hope that next year these issues can get resolved and regular deliveries can resume.

Jeff
Sounds like a repeat of last year, I didn't renew this year partly because of the delays mainly because it all seems a bit dated and not relevant to me.
I am suprised WB didn't put everything into getting everything out on time this year to get people back on board.
I hope rumours about next year are true and they get back to normal with they're releases , perhaps they should trim some of the ranges they seem to start lots but leave others to stagnate (Napoleonic).

DMNamiot and Napoleon1er

Note you are both in the USA, there is a world outside there, check out the posts and replies from people in the UK, some have not received their club figure from 2017 and multiple figures from the club 2018 range, they are simply not available, they have not been released here. The UK club has simply not received them, there are two different membership clubs, 1 US and 1 Europe/UK.

"Now Walsingham if your friend has not gotten his figure from two years ago than he is either stupid or the laziest person in the world."

The comment above made by DMNamiot was crass and ill informed, not what I would expect from a moderator. if you read the post I was talking about not received club figures and the club simply has not received them to send on to collectors.

DNMamlot - Another of your comments - "Guys like I said before things are improving and product is forth coming." You are right in this comment because we heard it from people on the forum in early 2018, late 2017, mid 2017 and so on and so on, but nothing from Ken or from anyone at WB. Your comment reminds me of the boy crying wolf too many times.

There was no need to get dramatic as well and claim I was all doom and gloom. All we are talking about here is a toy soldier company failing to delivery, while all the others appear to be able to inform people what they will be delivering and then deliver.

On telling me to go away should a moderator be doing that, as this is a forum for opinions and that is what I am expressing, my opinion.

But I do not think you can argue that Britains performance has been great in the last few years, new product delivery has been slow, 88mm gun for example as it has been not months but years since that was announced and not delivered. I know there was a quality issue, but you should not announce things if you are not sure you can deliver. The communications has been terrible, promises after promises, another example we were promised the club figure at the event in Dec 2017, it was not there and I collected mine from the March London show. I now only collect WW1 and that has dried up, as for "moving on" [another comment of yours] to others such as K & C, I would just like to put forward a concept, 'you can collect more than I or even more than 2 different manufacturers', which I do.

DNMamlot - Your last paragraph in the reply made no sense, I cannot see where this fits in with replying to my post or did you just want a rant? I never mentioned WB eBay, is the comment below answering something in your subconscious that you just wanted to get off you chest? I also have no idea what 'Jomartvr' is?

"Jomartvr dealers move stock all the time on eBay and at reduced prices so great if you want them but this doesn’t spell the end for Britain’s. I also saw your other from June 2018 to answer the original question for thread,

"Jeff get in touch with the uk club folks they will have the latest eta on club figures and the Standard. There is a Standard coming out in a few weeks but I don’t have mine handy to see which ones have come out this year."

Don't you think we contact the club? The UK club people are inundated with calls about when club figures will be out but they know nothing, at the show in Birmingham England in October 18 they said they clueless as to what was happening and had been promised new stock soon, as they were in early and mid 2018.

By the way did the Standard that was due out in a "few weeks" in your answer in June come out in July or August?

HI Walsingham,

I use the handle JOMARTVR as this sports car was designed and built by my father and named after my step brother and sister. More here, http://jomar-cars.com/

Thanks, look like a great car, in the tradition of MG, Aston, Austin Healey and TVR. Have you seen Ginetta cars https://www.ginetta.com/

The UK had a great tradition of building quality small sports cars and yours follows that tradition as well.

in the post it said 'JOMARTVR Dealers' and I did not know what this was, but no worries, I thought it was an acronym for something and am always interested in finding out about new dealers etc. On that I recently started buying from a company in Holland called Diodump [https://www.diodump.com/], they have some great building and dio stuff, unpainted and targeted more at plastic modellers, but have bought some sets and painted them for my K & C, T Gunn and War Park figures.

Ok guys so just to be clear. All of you talking bad or dismissing the efforts of the new owners of the company have repeatedly stated you are done with Britain’s so if that is true, move on to other pastures and stop pestering the folks willing to wait and see.

Walsingham you make some good ponts and if you think I’m out of line well the thoughts are totally mutual. I am sick of folks dumping on The Osens because there have been some bumps in the road. Now I could get petty and bump several if you from the Britains section but that wouldn’t be right and would be an abuse of my position so I will leave it to you to act like gentlemen and leave the thread. The rest of the people who collect Britain’s and are satisfied with the offerings will continue without you.

I fully agree. It seems a few people get bored and wind up here once a month making the same complaints. It's just getting old. When I read the repeat posts it's like Charlie Brown's teacher's voice in my head.

Hi Guys

Some interesting points but it seems obvious no one is going to the Britains page on Facebook or to their website to ask questions. If you want answers then either call them and ask the questions or go to their sites. They have had some issues recently to Be sure but product is coming out and progress is being made. The club figures have always had a strange timeline and to me they will come when they come. As far as dumping stock goes the sets I am seeing that might fall into this category are merely sale specials they are doing with several sets to give folks in the club an opportunity to get a little more bang for their buck at Christmas.
As far as members quiting the club that’s not the story I get, sure folks come, folks go, tastes change people move to other makers it happens all the time. But to make a statement that the company must be in jeopardy because no one posts updates from them here is pretty inane. I asked them this question and they gave me this answer, Ken made a decision not to post on Treefrog for a lot of reasons but the primary one was he doesn’t want to be perceived as favoring one retail house over another. I think this is a very valid point and gives smaller dealers the same footing as bigger ones. Another thing most people don’t realize is they are not a company of hundreds of employees they are a much smaller operation than you might think so things take a little longer at times.

Now I must as a question here, how many members here are also members of the club and frequent the Facebook site or the actual website? From what I can see it’s very few. The Facebook site has about 2100 likes/followers and I am not sure about the website if there is a way to track visits and that sort of information I will have to ask them. But one thing I can tell you here is the Britains page in this forum doesn’t get that high a number of visits. It never has and I can say this because I have been on this site as a member since the beginning.

So folks don’t write the company off yet there are great things coming down the line and I for one am looking forward to seeing what the new year will bring.

Dave

Dave:

First and foremost, on this Veteran's Day thank you for your service. We will never forget the sacrifice that you have made for all of us.

As far as this post goes it seems to imply that other manufacturers have a favoritism for Treefrog? After all Collectors Showcase, First Legion, John Jenkins, King & Country, Thomas Gunn etc., all post here regularly?
Best,
Jason

Hi Jason

I guess that is a logical conclusion from my statement but I am not in touch with those manufacturers and can only say that Ken said he didn’t want to favor one place over another.

Dave,

Thanks for the response.

Honestly, I feel everyone needs to calm down on attacking W. Britain as a company and Ken & Ericka as the owners.
1 - The product will come when it comes.
2 - WB as a company has never really been a big presence on this Forum. Not even when Richard was the GM. They would post on occasion but nowhere near the frequency that others interact on here.
3 - Interaction with customers on here is their choice. If they would prefer to put their energy and time elsewhere, that is their choice.

This is a friendly space where you can all interact with each other and enjoy the Hobby as a whole. There is enough negativity out there on other topics.
Any additional threads on "Where is the product" will get shut down going forward.
Trust me, as soon as I am notified new products are coming, you will know!!! I will post a thread about it right away!

I received the Fall Standard today. Included is a club figure update. Good Soldier expects shipment to them in late November and receipt in late December.

My Standard arrived today. However no mention of Club figures. Perhaps a difference between US and UK editions.

There was a note in my packet from the club saying that club figures were shipped from China and would be delivered as soon as possible but it was likely they won’t ship till after Christmas. Not sure what the time line will be for the uk club.

Dave

Probably a daft question to ask, but has anyone received the Club figure and the September issue of The Standard yet?

I have had only two issues of The Standard this year, is this correct or am I missing one?

Thanks.

Jeff

I received the Autumn issue today! {sm3}

Is there any way to look and see what club figures are still available?

If you go to the website it shows all the club figures available as well as other lines available. I took a quick look and it shows 4 pages of club figures.
