Finished for $256.45 + $20.00 Shipping for a Total of $276.45 {eek3} That's why I try to buy em when I see em , having to pay more then issue price for anything makes me sick... regards Gebhard

That's not too bad of price to pay for some lucky collector, about 100.00 over list. Wouldn't want to do that very often, but that Colbert figure is pretty outstanding, and only a limited number made. - Actually, I thought it would go for much more. (Should have tried for it myself :rolleyes2:)

Its this one piece, that made me decide just to strickly buy First Legion. And the one piece I wish I had another one of. Not to sell though.

So I might totally know who pulled the trigger on the EBay Colbert figure. :smile2: when I saw it being talked about here I was like "nooooo, you'll drive the bidding up." :p I'm happy with the price, of course I wish I could have paid the original MSRP, but such is life. It should be here in a week or so and let me tell you, I am excited.
Best,
Josh

Josh,
Sorry about that, I just had to let people know about it. Since there was numerous times where people were talking about it. I do apologize.
General Colbert is a prize, there will be no doubt about it. And now you will be one of the lucky few, that has it. I was actually tempted to bid on it. But, that meant on maybe putting a couple or more, acquisitions on hold. And completing the Red Lancers is at the top of my list. So I chose not too.
You will not regret getting it. It is such a great piece. Enjoy!!

Hi Guys

That was my auction , from memory I paid about $220 for that figure [ I was slow to pull the trigger so ended up buying it from the UK ] .
I am rapt he has gone to a good home , I will probably give myself an upper cut one day for selling him .
But with FL coming out with so many great Naps , tough choices have to be made or I'll end up single and living in what resembles a toy store :) .

Cheers Rob

No worries buddy, you were looking out for your fellow Treefroggers/collectors which is awesome. You're right though, he's going to really flesh out the rest of the Red Lancers.

Rob,
I'll take extra good care if him, he's getting a prominent position in my display cabinet when he gets here! It is indeed tough to make choices on which figures to get. I've made myself stay away from the Austrians/Russians side of the war and stick with Waterloo. Thanks again man!
Best,
Josh

Rob,
I know how you feel, I had to sell some of my collection (non- First Legion), to compensate for a little bit of the cost of getting some and future releases from them. Which is getting better and better.
Well at least it went to a great home, And I too hope you will not regret it. Just stop looking at the red lancers, Me I just love the Lancers. Since Lord Tennyson's" Charge of the Light Brigade". I have been drawn to them. It was a good try for King and Country when they released theirs. But next to FL's General Colbert. It just did not compare.not even close.

Hi Josh,
Congratulations good to see he is going to a nice home {bravo}} having to pay more then issue price sucks, but hey don't tell anyone I had to do it myself once :wink2:. Its well worth it in the end and after a month or two you'll forget all about it but you'll always have that missing piece you really wanted .. best Gebhard
