Coldstream Regiment of Foot Guards. (2 Viewers)

Hi Craig!
As you know we are filling in gaps in the Redcoats/Bluecoats/Petticoats series with various Officers, NCOs, Musicians and in some cases marching ORs.
We liked the idea of 'Ready for Duty' so that we could add a few other poses that might not work as well in the standard line. We have kicked around a few other subjects to add in the future, but nothing is in stone yet.
I think I will be buying a few Christmas sets myself this year for gifts.
I like your idea about marching figures...In coatees or greatcoats though? (I want both of course!)
All the Best,
Ken

thats a hard one id love to see both versions! the two new one's you have in greatcoats are both excellent & thats before i have even seen the finish xmas set yet lol, but i think a standard marching version much like set 48002 only with a grenadiers cap instead would be better!!!!
Craig.

Tradition sells them as painted or unpainted figures (I paint, so I buy the unpainted castings). As painted figures, they have several regiments represented, and both grenadiers and hatmen. I really like their quality and recommend them highly.

Prost!
Brad

iv never attempted to paint any models before, theres proberly a good chance id mess it up:eek:!!! i think ill look into these though well the already painted versions at least, do they have a web site?

thanks Craig.

this 1 is only for people who have tickets to the club event the night before the december show in london! my dad & me are going so ill have 2 of them 2 add 2 my collection!!!

the 1 randy posted is the Xmas set for the collectors club this year.

Ah okay thanks for clarifying that Craig.

have you ever been to any of the WBritain events? they are well worth a visit espesally the Xmas show in london,

Unfortunately I haven't, not even be to a toysoldier show. There really isn't much Toy Solider related near me. The nearest shop is about a 3hr drive. Surprising really as I live in a large city of about 1/4 million people

Everything I have to date has been bought online through ebay, with the exception of a couple of pieces from Bernard (Cardigan600). Trouble with buying online is it seems to take forever to get your stuff LOL :D

Im also getting into the seven years war, even if im having to wait for my local stockist to get some more Grenadiers for the foot guards (I bought all they had) i havnt really looked at any other companys SYW models i might have to check out Traditions!!!!:D

Craig,

I was going to ask if you have been to the Tradition of London shop as they stock Britains as well as their own ranges. Also in London there is the Guards Toy Soldier Centre which is a Britains sockist as well.

Jeff

I am not sure where you are in Ontario, but you should consider making the trek to one of the Michigan shows in Livonia, just west of Detroit. This is run by MichToy two times a year, but dealers and collectors come from all over. On occasion we have a Manufacturer's display from W. Britain there too.

Are they MKL models owned by Lyn ? If so they are great to deal with. I got my 9th Mounted Lancer band from them :O)

Hi Ken thanks for the info....I am in Windsor Ontario so not to far, my problem is being a landed immigrant I have to have so many documents just to cross the border and our Canadian government have just added another piece to the long list that i must carry :(

Hello All,
It took me a while to dig this photo out, couldn't find the memory stick it was on! We are up to our ears in boxes of scenic dioramas for the Chicago show, so the house is a wee bit chaotic. I kinda feel like a female Gulliver, this big giant looking over all these tiny worlds! Anyways, I digress, here is the new W.Britain Christmas Set for 2008. I absolutely love the fact that it is still something that could happen today, though odds are in much less refined clothing!
Hope to see you at the Show!
All the Best!
Ericka

A very impassible guard in the presence of a lovely lady:D. Now what is she trying to do?
A marvellous set, that's for sure.
