I recently purchased WS74 from a seller on eBay. When the item arrived it had one noticeable chip on right near the rear license plate. Generally I try to avoid damaged items or those without boxes. Given that I paid the original retail price for this item $99.00, I am on the fence as to whether or I should keep this piece or return it. I certainly enjoy K&C's motorcycles, but I am a little concerned if by keeping it I am overpaying for a damaged item. Any thoughts would be appreciated?

Thanks,
Brian

ws074 sells for $100 - $120 on ebay and comes up fairly often. The $120 would be for mint condition and the $100 for a used one in good condition with the box. You did not buy at an exceptional price, especially if it has a chip and sounds like no original box?

Thanks Terry,

It did come with the original box. I was unaware that these are fairly common on eBay.

The key may be what the listing said. If he disclosed the defect, you probably will not be able to return it in that eBay may side with the seller.

The listing had it as mint. So there is no question if I can return.

Then I would.
Same here. If an item is listed as new, brand new, or mint, then it should be free of defects. I've only returned one K&C item (figures) for chipping paint. If you took time to post here, the chip bothers you. It will only keep bothering you until you fix it (even if that means eating some shipping costs). I like my items new and without defects. I think its fair to ask if paying full price.

If an item is listed as used with disclosed info re. any damage, then that's another story.

Good luck with your decision.
