Per John's description, I gather Club members have some influence on the figures produced. So how about we each nominate ONE figure we want John to do as part of the Club? Would limit it to only one since John is already getting into next year with this process. Then Mike or someone who corresponds with him could forward the list.

My nomination goes to Capt. Donald MacDonald of the Royal Ecossois at Culloden.

Nice post, I like it.

Something different- regarding War of 1812 moving to New Orleans, I suggest a Jean Lafitte, his second in command who name escapes me as well as Andy Jackson.

John could do alot in the Orleans arena.

Regarding Gordon, John could do a stand alone version of Gordon or any of the other personalities of that era.

This is a good idea...maybe someone who knows how...can compile a list of suggestions and start a poll...

I would think John probably has at least the immediate next or next two CC figures already underway...

John might appreciate the ideas...

I nominate a mounted George Washington from BOM, in red uniform of course:p Maybe posed similar to the painting of Robert Griffing's "A charming field for an encounter," Although it is a fort necessity painting, Washington's uniform could double for Monongahela (this might be the only way I'd get something from a fort necessity series :D ) I'd like to see a Fort Necessity series by John just as bad as (I forget who:confused:) wants to see a Bushy Run series!

Colonel Simon Fraser, 78th Foot, PoA. As long has he is dressed snazzy!!!

I would love to have George Washington (BOM) and Donald MacDonald (Culloden) produced as club figures, but as they have both been nominated, my suggestion is Prince Charles Edward Stuart AKA Bonnie Prince Charlie (Culloden).

I was gonna suggest Bonnie Prince Charlie...but thought he might go as a general release instead...

so..I'm gonna suggest a two piece set of Beaubien and William Stark...

maybe even a 3 piece set of Stark and Beaubien fighting the Frenchman...

Snow Shoes has "stood the test of time" and is still popular with new collectors...this would make a pretty diverse set...

John Buxton..."Warm Companians"...

On the rugged New World frontier, settlers soon found that the native canine, the wolf, was much better suited to the harsh conditions than some of the favorite breeds brought from Europe. Their experiments in crossbreeding resulted in pups that retained many of the wolf's characteristics and made hearty companions. One day while out hunting, William Stark encountered one of these wolf/dogs being beaten by a French officer. Stark fought with the Frenchman and killed him. Stark and the wolf/dog, which he later named Sergeant Beaubien, went on to share many more hunting ventures, as well as years of service together for Rogers Rangers.
At one point throughout their history, Stark entered the wolf/dog into the official Ranger muster roll to draw a Sergeant's rations and pay. It has been said that Sergeant Beaubien dispatched his share of the enemy and was well deserving of his pay.

I would like to see figures to make a vignette of Robert Griffing's painting of Braddock's defeat or a vignette of a painting of the surviving Halkett finding his father and brother's remains by the big tree.Yes including the tree.

Since someone has already suggested a mounted George Washington, I nominate Lt. Colonel Thomas Gage.

Cool story, Mike. I have not heard it before. I'd vote for "Warm Friends."

This would be a good one too.I think John is using the CC for special sets and this one would certainly fall into this catagory.
Mark

Buxton must have been a little fascinated with Beaubien too...

he did another painting called "Sergeant Beaubien"...

"Sergeant Beaubien"
Roger's Rangers
This group of Rogers Rangers are located on ground overlooking Lake George, New York which stretches Northward behind them. Captain Robert Rogers' men scout deeply within enemy territory supplying the latest intelligence of French activity and their daring hit-and-run tactics not only delivered great annoyance to the enemy but also boosted English spirits.

Experienced Ranger lieutenants are briefing several new cadets and a volunteer from the 42nd Highlanders, as to the basic rules outlined by Capt. Rogers - rules still employed by Ranger forces today. Among the Ranger "cadets" in the fall of 1756 is William Stark, brother of Ranger Captain John Stark, with his wolf/dog Sergeant Beaubien.

Oooooooh Joseph...

There would be only one pre-order of a figure of me...

it would be my purchase...

not a money maker for John...

But Sir Michael a figure with your facial features an attired and posed as an action figure in anyone of John's series would turn out to be a major winner in MHO Daddy JJ:D:D:D

i love the vignette's john has created. "death of general wolfe", "retreat of montcalm" and "colonel sir peter halkett and son" have just been fantastic pieces. maybe asking for more then just one or two fig poses would/should be consider for general release's but here it go's. a vignette of the "spoils of war". woodland indians (no more then four) wearing the 44th regimental uniforms, tri-corn hat's and grenadier miter cap's. arm's raised in victory, standing, walking and one indian riding on horseback all four making there way back to fort duquesne. each woodland indian carrying something back w/them. examples.....the king's colors, wood barrel's, sack's of food, extra gun's etc etc.........let me know what you guy's think!

* sgt.beaubien and william stark would of been my first pick but after talking to john, he said it's on the back burner. not sure if it will be produced as a collector's club or general release. but i'm very very happy:D:D:D:D:D:D p.s a mike miller fig, wearing a ranger's uniform, snowshoes and playing a fender guitar in the snow would be my second choice. lol toooooooooo cooooooooool:eek::eek::eek:

Mark...

maybe we could get a set of you and me wearing Grenadiers hats collecting birch pods and chopping away at a piece of fur for a homemade dio mat...hahahaha...

really the Indian "Spoil of War" set would be nice...I have always liked the K&C BR42...BR44...BR51...BR52 and BR53...but your idea of them walking away with King's Colours...food...supplies, etc...sounds better...

did they lose the Colours?

I'm still hoping for a Beaubien though...
