I hope there are going to be some collectors club figures this year. Its mid August and there haven't been any so far this year (unless I've missed something)!

I wish I had an answer for you as I've been wondering the same thing. My guess is that the club figures weren't selling too well and that from now on JJ is going to only issue some at the beginning of the year. The August release news isn't out yet either and this is the time of year that John usually runs his Caption Contest--no news on that as well. The wesbite hasn't updated since June 18th.....

Does anyone have any intel on what is going on at JJD these days? Things have been eerily quiet for too long.

Hi, yes its been quiet, but normal service and excitment about to be resumed!
I heard yesterday that the August releases have started going out to dealers now, so hope to take a few photos once we get them. Especially looking forward to the twin Leuthen pack!

Re Collectors Club, I spoke to John earlier in the year, and i think the gist of it is that he's had so much on his plate with all the new releases, let's not forget these last few months we've been getting lots each month;
June 10 items, July 8 items, August a whopping 11 items!

But I do agree in principle, love a collectors club release for FIW...... please.

Hello gentlemen

Well I had a chat with John last week via e-mail and he hinted that he was allowing himself a break and was looking for some reading matter related to aircraft. He also was getting sucked into the Olympics.

I for one certainly think John deserves to slow down and have a break. It also helps my bank balance. I'm sure he will be refreshed and back chained to his work bench.
