I know Collectors Showcase figs are 1/30 but how do they compare size wise with Britains figures? Would they be compatible or are they of a size similar to King and Country?

I am speaking particularly advice about the North British Dragoons/ Scots Greys cavalry figures.

If this is covered elsewhere in the forum ,sorry, but couldn't find it.

TCS figures are not 1/30th they are more between 1/28th and some are 1/27th. If you want an exact match then they will not work with Britain's as they are about 1/32 with some varying just fractionally about that area towards 1/30th

TCS will be more compatible with the manufacturer you also mention as they are also not 1/30th and are 1/28th. However, you use what feels right for you even if that is a miss mash of differing scales.

I know people who use Britain's with FL and are relatively happy to pad out a scene with them especially the Nap collectors so, you could also look at that possibility. If you go down the larger route mentioned you could also add TG to the mix as their figures are also 1/28th

Always remember though they still all fall under the 1/30th banner as everyone has decided that math can be thrown out the window and create their own scale for their releases!!!!!!

Blackbob: I model ACW dios. I use TCS's, Fl and Britains. To be honest with You they all work out great. My family and friends do not see the difference with the three different manufactures. It just looks great to Me. Good luck and happy collecting: Mr Colt 45 :):):)

In terms of your specific question about Scots Greys; I do not have any WB but I do have KC and CS displayed together.

The CS figures are larger than the KC figures - you can see them in the pics below. (The 3 darker horses are CS).

As they are bigger, they have to be displayed at the front of the scene.

Personally, I think they would look too big alongside WB

It's a shame about the size.. I would love to put my FL Germans with the new CS grey Stug

Agreed Britain's, FL, & TCS ACW figures are all pretty close in size. K&C not so much. They are more like 70 to 75 mm high. They (K&C) are also the least historically accurate in the ACW catagory. Early Conte & ONWTC go well with Britain's as we'll.
