Colours 07 Skirmish Wargames Award Winning WWII Pacific Game 'Bloody Kaiten!' (1 Viewer)

Great stuff Mike,I like how these 54m games creat a lot of buzz at wargame conventions!
And nice painting by the way ^&cool

Always great to see the highest quality 54mm wargame images. I see so many spectacular battles done by groups in the UK.
How many guys participate in your group, or is it just you?

Thanks guys.

We have about 10 'core' members who contribute to and play in games regularly, scattered all across the country. Some get to every 'rendesvoo' and others perhaps just one a year. We are lucky in having a number of good converters, painters and scenery makers. Our club meetings are our get-togethers at shows, where we put on a demo game, and in between these we have an e-newsletter Reports From The Skirmish Line which has After Action Reports and Heads-Up on forthcoming ones. There are nearer 40 gamers who are on the newsletter distribution list, around the world.

Excellent set ups, conversions and painting.
You have inspired me to make more painted conversions.
Did you build the diorama base ?
How much time does a game take to complete ?

Wow! Great stuff Mike. Are all the figures plastic and conversions? There were a few figures that I,m not familiar with. I can tell the base figures on a few of the conversions but there are a few I just can,t guess at. I,m not a big WWII guy but I have seen most of whats available in plastic but there are a few I,m guessing might be metal kits???
The guy standing by the tree in this picture with his hand on his hip with his sleeves rolled up,is he a plastic figure?Conversion?

I also liked these sailor conversions.^&cool

I,m also not familiar with some of the marines coming up the beach in this picture like the guy with the bazuka. I really like the body posture on that figure, The figure is set back to far to see real good but it looks to be well sculpted from the posture of the figure. Is that a metal casting or a plastic figure?

Thanks for the kind words. The figures you ask about are both Airfix multi-pose. I think the bazooka is an MG actually? There are no metal figures, except on the LC. The 'sailors' are TSSD conversions, intended to represent Sea Bees.

That game is absolutely brilliant Mike, superb in everyway.

The terrain is stunning, great paint jobs on the figures as well.

Thanks for sharing.........

It certainly is George. Each figure is a gem, the terrain and vehicles, everything , simply the highest standard.

Again thanks for the kind words.

Casualties - yes, Multi-pose are excellent. We also had a lot of Britains Deetail given us by the company, and we used them too - easily spipped off the metal base!

Hello Mike,
your conversions are incredibles {eek3}. I would like to use some of your photos for my forum dedicated to plastic toy soldiers, 1/32 scale:
