I am sort of floored. Just won five auctions from the same seller. Each one with $10 shipping. When I tried to ask if he'd do combined shipping, Ebay gave me an automated message that the seller does not combine shipping. I despise people trying to make money from my sale on shipping. That's the post office's job. No way this will cost $50 to mail. Ok, rant over!

Zach,

Did you ask him; sometimes people will make exceptions.

Brad

I did. Ebay some how determined what I wrote and on top of the screen in red and message appeared saying the seller will not offer combined shipping. I couldn't even get my message through. each time I hit send, I just get that message.

There must be an "Other" category or try sending a message through the eBay app on your phone.

I emailed through the store. I'll let you know what happens

ridiculous...
what a scoundrel...

if you can refused by him on his request to combine shipping...
I would give him a poor feedback...

that is just "low character business" on his part...

I had the exact same problem. The seller must do the changes in his account. I contacted my seller, he told me go ahead and pay and he will refund the difference and he did. But I would have been screwed if he didn,t. Try messageing him.

Second that. Go to the page for one of the auction items and click the link to ask the seller a question. On the next page, you'll see question categories, and if you don't select any of those, you can choose to send a question.

I think what you're seeing is part of the automated checkout sequence.

If he truly will not offer to combine, then make sure your feedback reflects it. You don't have to be nasty, just state fact. If he's got the grading feature enabled on feedback (the four categories below the text field), I'd use that, too.

Prost!
Brad

Sounds like he doesn't want to combine and he's had a few days to ponder the question.

I would follow the Baron's advice and leave appropriate feedback. It doesn't have to be negative but can be neutral; that also gets buyers' attention.

Still no word. I agree with both of you. That was my plan. I won't be harsh because I've bought from him before and he's a good seller and has great stuff. It'll all be positive feedback other than the shipping part. It hasn't been long though, I won't do that until the item is actually here.

EBay is funny about combined shipping. If you offer combined shipping EBay has certain requirements for the seller to meet. Other wise the seller should adjust the shipping cost and send you a corrected invoice. Look in the ask a question link and see if it says anything in the shipping section. It could say combined shipping. If it does not clink on the (other) link and ask him a question through the Auction Item and not his store. GOOD LUCK

Item just marked as shipped today. No reply to my message sent through ebay and no reply to my email through the store website....Looks like no combined shipping meant, no combined shipping. I am still shocked that I've been completely ignored. I have bought quite a bit of stuff from him at shows too and on ebay. This is a real bummer and leaves a bad taste for future transactions

I wonder if the items were shipped together or if the items were shipped separately.

that is sooooooooo wrong...

I would never buy another thing from him and I would make sure he knows why...

If you see him at a show, tell him you want your money back.

When you go to a show, go up to his table. Open your briefcase. Tell him of your concern.
Then as you close your briefcase say "BIG MISTAKE." Walk away.

I just got the package. Actual shipping cost was $7.50
More profit made on shipping than the actual figures.
I've decided to discuss with him in person next time I see him

yes you should...that is a total rip off that he was fully aware of...bad business...taking advantage of a business deal and hiding behind an Ebay option to do it......when you see him...I would ask for a refund...

and please...

send me a PM with his name so I can block him...

WOW! So let me get this right. He charged you $50.00 shipping for 5 items that coste $7.50 total to ship. In Texas the saying is "GET A ROPE". If you would be so kind as to PM me on this seller also so I can be on the Lookout for this Like Mike has requested.
