Spotted on a dealers website under the "Coming Soon Category"; What looks to me like a K&C Model of the Hotel Harnstein (spelling) from Oosterbruck (?) - Anhem anyway. Now, the pictures could in fact be referring to the Para figures that are also in the photo's - but it would be awfully nice if K&C were to market the building itself. Besides, we need a large and versatile building for dioramas seeing as the French Farmhouse has been retired.
Hope I'm not needlessly getting up the hopes of our parachute silk lovers.

Cheers

Minutemen Toy Soldiers under New Releases.
The feeling is growing on me that it only refers to the Para figures though and not the building. Still, its worth a visit just to see the layout.

If it's the one I think you saw, (the big white one with balconies, with the arnhem figures ), then I think that was a one off for the chicago show:)

Can hear arnhem44mad screaming from the other side of the world , here:D

I know, oh I know......Sorry Scott.
I ought to have engaged brain before deploying typing finger.:eek::eek:
Stiil, would be nice if it was issued even as an SL. I'd imagine there would be a big demand.

Aye well, idiot-heid.....:eek::eek::eek:
Still, it looks so good, I'm sure a facade version would be viable. Maybe this should be transferred to the Suggestions thread.

I agree, it looks the business, be great if K&C released something of the same quality and price:eek:, as Berlin Tenement .
Maybe someone else can correct me but that diorama went for I think between 10 and 20K. Thats a deposit on a real building :D

Uuuuuuuggggg......pass the smelling salts. I could buy a 2-bedroom apartment outright in China for 30K. Wouldn't be a tremendously good one, but I could always rent it out to three Chinese families and still show a profit.
That building is nice yes, but surely not 10K to 20K.....?????

I was lucky enough to see Gordon's version of the Hartstein Hotel at OTSN 2007. What a grand model, right down to the tennis court. He really captured the look of the building as portrayed in photos! It was the coolest backdrop for the paras, it immediately set the time and place as few other buildings could have done.

If you look on the K&C Website under "King & Country Workshop & Special Projects" you can see a photograph of this amazing diorama (which does not do it justice), the best diorama K&C ever produced in my opinion (and since I own 15 of their one of a kind dioramas, I have a pretty good frame of reference). Sadly, I didn't get this one (the most expensive to my knowledge, and twice as expensive as the "Secret Desert Airfield" diorama I got at the OTSN Chicago Show), but I can tell you that the detail was beyond amazing. The tennis court was a nice touch, but the inerior details of the hotel itelf, including the front desk, stairways, different wallpaper in each room, furniture, and the amazing battle damage, made this diorama on a par was those amazing 1:6 scale dioramas John Reid has built for museums depicted on the diorama thread. It is truly a work of art.

Deffos, and because it would just be sitting maybe with some other buildings, it woudn't have a base, just a flat model?:D:D:D:D:D

And that would save some cost:p:D:eek::cool::D

I think its time for some new DIORAMA PRODUCTS from King and Country - dont you think ?

Too many great lines are being produced with out quality backdrops - Hopefully 2008 will be the year of the K&C Backdrop !! :)
