I used to think along those lines as well but in this case there is grounds for action. I have spent a lot of time reading and discussing this case and will tell you that it will be looked at for a very longtime especially in Leadership classes in ROTC or at the Point. Very deep lapses in leadership and supervision of very young soldiers by a lot of leaders in this Brigade on up the chain of command is to blame. Like I was taught when you are in command you are on the blame line as well.
