I’ve been collecting for about 16 months and have invested an incredible sum of money in my new found hobby and yet I have ZERO regrets. Yes, I’m having the time of my life!

Doesn't it seem that collectors/ accumulators have more choices and better quality than ever before?

What do you think?

I agree. It seems like we got more choices now then ever. If only my wallet could keep up with everything I see.I spent years building 1/72 and 1/35 scale tank and figure kits along with hours crawling on floor looking for tiny parts or pieces coming off tanks when you pick them up. I also remember driving miles to auctions or flea and antique markets and think what a good find you got if you got a few metal beat up guys and maybe even a metal tank. Now you can look at items on internet and see what they are. I use to make an order or buy from an advertisement and mail check- wait and wait then see what you get. Sometimes good and sometimes horrible. Don't miss the old days. John

Yes, There are simply a bewildering choices of scales, periods , makers .The Geese that lay the golden eggs are here in force.Once in a while they waddle in a little slow or have dirty feet.Nothings perfect and we all have our own opinians.Be grateful you have so many choices.
10 years ago, no Conte, FOV, Matte figures ect.
I did 15 and 25mm for years.Always liked 54mm but up until about 3-4 years ago
I didnt use them as there simply wasn't enough available.
Now, Oh boy! Yes, we are lucky!

I've been collecting about 16 months too. In that time i've spent a lot of money on this hobby and feel it's been well spent.

I'm sort of cutting back a bit now to rest my wallet. Also it's nice to get back to the stage where each purchase is special rather than just trying to buy whole sets or worrying about trying to keep up with everything.

I do think though that things seem to have really taken off lately. Especially for WW2 collectors like myself. I'm excited about the new Britains stuff and NMA and I hope to get an Honour Bound panther in the near future.
