Hi everyone. While I've posted on the Treefrog Boards a number of times, this is the first time I've posted to this forum.
I've got a good number of K&C Afrika Corps and Eighth Army figures. I'm happy with the desert airfield I have set up, but I've been looking to create a scene that depicts the SAS ambushing a AK patrol or convoy.
While on another site the SdKfz 251/C and the booster back of jumping figures caught my eye, as did Rommel's Command Car. I particularly like the former because of the action pose and the possibility of a damaged vehicle. It would be a great way of showing the convoy mid-ambush, and to my knowledge no other manufacturer has anything like it.
My question is - how well do you think they will go with K&C's AK line. The pieces I have now that I'm envisioning incorporating are a Panzer II, FunkKraftwagon and/or Desert Kubelwagon on the AK side, and various SAS figures on the for the Eighth Army.
I know that there has been lots of discussion re: scale. I wouldn't consider myself a rivet counter by any means - I just want the figures to look good together. Unfortunately, I don't live by a toy soldier brick and mortar store so I can't make the comparison in person.
If anyone has any insight, or better yet - some pictures - they'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Mark
