Confederate Infantry Color (1 Viewer)

Look on the web for " DON TROIANI 's CIVIL WAR" America's foremost military artist. If you can get that book { soft cover available} it is a superior painting guide all one it's own.
You can find images of his paintings on the web, but the book is all you will ever need for painting Confederate Infantry.
Kieth Rocco's " A SOLDIERS VIEW" is also excellent. There are numerous images of painted ACW figs in all scales on the web.
Many various shades of gray and butternut . You will have to examine images, and not be afraid to experiment. Rebs are NOT as easy to get the right look as most might think.

...the box was (sic) nothing about colors...

When you say the box has nothing about colors, do you mean that there are no callouts for colors, no suggestions for brand and catalog number? Because the box cover does provide an example, but I could see that you're looking for specific references to a manufacturer and catalog number, to identify the color to use.

Prost!

I've painted loads of Confederate infantry and cavalry over the years, and the good thing is that you really can't go wrong with an shade of grey as part of the uniform, and alternate trousers or coat with a brown or khaki colour or even blue trousers, light or blue grey.

This is because most of the war they were a 'rag tag' group of soldiers many whom wore their own clothing.

Have a look at this page on my website http://members.upnaway.com/~obees/soldiers/confed.htm

and see if there are any combinations that suit you, and if you would like a higher resolution image,

email me here: obees@upnaway.com and I can supply.

Thank you all I'll follow your idea's and see how it What it will look like

for the " Grey"

but small comment
for a warm grey, add a tiny bit of red ( for the officers )
for a cold grey, add a tiny bit of blue ( the trooper ) and many drybrush to show discolored clothes even finishing with a drybrush with a powder ( very fine grint ) of hard pastel stick, very light touch .

Best
