Confirmed dealers for Chicagoland as of 8-1-23 for September 24, 2023 (1 Viewer)

Until the pandemic hit, I had only missed a couple of shows since 2005 due to work or personal commitments but even though we’ve now emerged from the pandemic (fingers crossed), with only approximately 90 sellers, reluctantly I won’t be attending as I can't justify the cost of attending (flights, and room and board). I look forward to Carlos’ photos.

Ya know brad, i will have to pull out some old lists from the last 28 shows and see how many sellers there were. I dont believe there were ever more than 150 . I know we lost dealers after 9/11 and that b s socialist vat tax. But i do know 90 is alot and there are always more that that only show up for the show and not do room trading. Should be a great show and people seem to be more flush with cash. Can't wait for the big show see ya all there

Greg, you live closer to Chicago (about five hours driving) so attending for you and anyone in the immediate area makes sense, plus for the most part I have just about everything I want. For new stuff, I can always buy them from George or Julie. As far as the number of sellers, there used to be a lot more. Even as recently as 2019, the number was drastically shrinking. I will pull out an old list.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find the list; probably threw it out but even as late as 2019 for room trading you still needed the list to know where the sellers were.

I realize the show will never again be like it was prior to 9-11, when there were a lot of dealers from Europe and you could barely move in the hallways or the rooms with out bumping into someone.

Fortunately, I live about 20 minutes or so from the show, so travel expenses are not a consideration for me.

I am looking forward to a great show

So we had some complainers........

This list is of who has "paid" and "confirmed" amount of tables. T

Several others have sent in contracts but have not "paid" yet. Either because of special circumstances or that we have not de termined location and amount of tables yet. This includes Treefrog and Michtoy. Another realized he forgot to enclose the check when he saw the list.

I have had dozens of emails and about 20 calls since yesterday about the show. I am the show so I can only do what I can do...I have another big Convention in Boston this weekedn. Fanexpo. Will update the list again and website next week. I just got two more in the mail today.

Best of luck Matt, we all hope for a big success
Paddy
