That was one of the better Championship games I've seen. A tight battle all the way through. Fun to watch!

How many people had Duke-Butler as the final game???

Amazingly, my son had Duke winning it all. Well done!

I am an ACC fan (Maryland U alum) that always roots ACC at tournement time. My brother went to Duke, so they are like a "related" team to me, BUT, I was kinda rooting for Butler's last shot to go in. Don't tell my brother. At any rate, congrats to Coach K and the Blue Devils. -- Al

as a U of M alum, I still can't root for Duke, I just want to puke. They got a gift with what had to be the easiest ride thru the tourney in modern history. They should not even have been a #1 seed and Butler almost got them!

All of that said, they still had to win the games, so they deserve the credit for winning a Nat. Championship, I am just bitter!!!!!!!!

I completely understand, Tom. I still think Md. should have beaten MSU and gotten to the Final 4. Generally I do not root for Duke or NC or any other ACC team in the regular season (or any other situation that harms UMd's chances) but I will root ACC in the madness of March. Like I said, I wouldn't have cried had Butler's last shot gone in. -- Al

Congratulations to Duke, perhaps, for making it to the championship game. But I think Butler deserves congratulations far more for what they acheived, than Duke does. And had that 3-pointer not bounced out, it would have been a crowning shot on an unbelievable tournament run for them.

Had that last shot gone in, the roof on the dome would have caved in from the roar of the crowd, that was a pro Butler crowd for sure last night, what a ride those kids had, too bad it had to end like that, so close, yet so far away.

Butler's ride reminds me a little bit of the run that Seton Hall made under PJ a few years ago.

I had a personal interest in the game as my daughter graduated from Butler. We've been to a few games at Hinkle Field House (which is a great venue).

Added to that is the fact that I am not a Duke fan, in general.. well - let's just say I was very disappointed in the outcome of the game....

One thing that I should point out is I don't believe the label of Cinderella applies to Butler. Yes, they are a very small school, but with a top notch basketball program - which has been very competitive over the years, reaching the Sweet 16 a couple of times... This season I want to say they were ranked as high as 10 or 11 nationally - so it was no secret that they had a very, very good basketball.. I was actually suprised they received a 5 seed - thinking they would get at least a 4 if not a 3.. but in the end - that was immaterial,
