Hi,
I placed on order with H&A nearly two months ago. My order was taken via paypal. I've received nothing, and have emailed them on several occasions but have had no reply. I am not happy to say the least.
Does anybody have any other contact details?

Pete,

I know Ken and Erika of Hudson and Allen very well, they are good friends and good people. They take a long time filling orders (a time which is especially long right now, as Ken just became the president of William Britains). I will call them for you tomorrow, and I will be seeing them in Chicago in two weeks, and will let them know about your order going unfilled. Rest assured you will get your items (Erika will see to it:wink2:).

I will post here once I get Ken on the phone and have an answer for you.

Louis

They can take a long time. Moreover, Ken is now running Britains so he is doubly busy.

I had the same problem .No replies to emails sent . My paypal 45 day limit approached and I had to dispute the payment. $$$ came right back with a note from Ericka apologizing .
I would have waited much longer , but no replies to emails. I figured they were simply swamped with moving etcetc.
I might try another time.

Hi,
Thank you all for all your help. I'm sure they are very busy at the moment, and if there is a delay, or something is out of stock, then that's OK with me. Its just the silence that has rubbed me up the wrong way a bit.

Pete,

I called and left a detailed message. Hopefully you will hear something soon.

Pete,

Ken just returned my call. He is in Iowa, and Erika is on the way back to Michigan. Ken just spent a week in England on business. He apologized for the delay, and told me to assure you he would get your order filled as soon as he can.

Regards,

Louis

Curious? What will happen going forward? Looking to purchase some Hudson & Allen buildings only sold thru them. Will there still be a lag or delay?

Hello All,
My apologies to anyone that has been disappointed with our total lack of service for the past few months. We will endeavor to be back up and running at the end of the year.
We had developed several new items and had a fair number of new shelf scenics started for the Chicago show, but everything has screeched to a stop.

We had an huge responsibility thrust upon us When Richard Walker resigned as General Manager of William Britain a few months ago. I have been them chief sculptor for this company from the beginning of First Gear ownership and was the obvious successor for continuity. The simple problem was moving hundreds of miles without notice and having to pick and choose what was coming with us in the short term. This did not include much beyond clothing and basic furnishings.

We did not plan on all of the other special events that were planed for W. Britain that go beyond the administrative work in the office either, and it has been a very full schedule. I suppose the good news here is that W. Britain is in good shape and I have ironed out some bugs and designed plenty of new products for the rest of the year.

We guessed that Ericka could commute much more than she has been able to, and Hudson & Allen has suffered in the short term. We both apologize fro the lack of communication and that has been brought to our attention by your postings here, so thank you.

We also are in the midst of another professional museum model commitment that will be fulfilled in November, So work during the day, eat and then work most of the evening. Again, I know that does not excuse our lack of communication and we will strive to do better here.

Hopefully this will be an acceptable explanation to those who have tried to contact us lately, and be assured that we will be back up and running at the end of the year.

All the best,
Kenneth Osen

Might be a good idea to say something along these lines on the web site as some are not TF members and may have paid for items and have been left with no response and could be wondering if their payment as gone off into cyberspace never to be seen again.^&confuse:(

STILL WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad::mad:
Wayne.

Wayne,

I just called Ken and asked him to get back to you. He is insanely busy running Britains, not an excuse, but an explanation. I will keep following up with him until he gets in touch with you.:wink2:

Louis, thank you very much. Tell him to a least put some sort of notice on his web site to so as to avoid people ordering then only to find no response. I only got word from this forum from others and all my e-mails have gone unanswered. Have paid for items then nothing.
Wayne.

Any luck? I was hoping to order the factory building for the holidays.

I first posted in August about an order I paid for in July. I have still heard NOTHING. I realise they are extremely busy, but FOUR MONTHS later and not a dicky bird?
