To anyone interested in Conte ACW or older Britains ACW figures; I was in Gettysburg this past weekend for a show and I stopped into the Wax Museum and saw a raftload of Conte and older Britains ACW sets in glass display cases.

They are all selling at old retail prices and they had about 40 sets or so in two cases, if any of you are after older Britains ACW or Conte sets, check out the wax museum next time you are in Gettsyburg.

And also, there is a dealer who is blowing out and I mean blowing out loose Conte metal figures at the shows now; he has WWII, Alamo, Vikings, Normans, Saxons, Rogers Rangers, etc, etc for about 10.00 each, a real bargain.

If any of you are in the market for Conte metal, let me know what you are after as I'll be seeing him at a show in Virginia in September and as far as I know, he'll be at OTSN.

Don't pay rip off Ebay prices for Conte figures (20.00 each in some cases? Please.........) when this guy is basically giving them away..............

Good question; they have been out of boxes for awhile and he packs them in foam eggcrate material in large rubbermaid containers and totes them around, so I am pretty sure you'll have the odd chip and ding here and there.

Also, customers at shows have a way sometimes of bowling over figures too...........;) That said, the ones I saw looked to be in excellent shape, specifically ACW, Normans, Saxons and Vikings. Lots of WWII figures too .............

I think I know the guy you're talking about, George, I think he also carries various Russian toy soldiers, like Niena, and old Staddens, in those tubs. If it's the same guy, you're right, bargains are to be had!

Prosit!
Brad
