Some I've been chopping up and sticking back together. Probably a good few of the usual suspects. Brit Paras:

I was going to wait until I'd painted them, but that could be a good while off yet, so primed it is:

Apologies for the one post, one pic, I haven't managed to figure out the process of sticking 5 at a time on a post.

Simon.

It would appear that you have been busy and they look very nice, but as I'm not too familiar with Conte figures what did they look like before surgery?

And second set of 8.

I find it very therapuetic cutting things up with a scalpel. And since I'm not allowed to practice surgery, this is the next best thing. :)

What about the lying down sten gunner? I gather that was major surgery.

Wraith the ripper! Excellent work Simon. You intend to paint them right? Great stuf, I did some conversions of these quite a while ago but as of yet, no paint. Thanks for the interesting ideas. Now all we need are some support weapons.
I had thought about converting the Airfix support teams to Paras. Another plan yet unfullfilled.
Thanks again.

FUBAr:)

The prone Sten gunner did take a little longer to solder together, I can't remeber which parts I used from where, it was just like a plastic bloodbath with limbs and torsos everywhere. :D

Thanks Fub. Yes I will get round to painting them at some point, but like many on this forum, I seem to have about a dozen 'projects' on at any one time and flit between them. That's a good idea re the Airfix Brit Support Group. The Vickers on that would be bang on for use with some appropriate converts.

Great job Simon, I had recently bought a set each of the Brit Paras, you have some great poses there I plan on copying. Thanks for sharing them with us. I was going to try and make some terrorist out of Brit Paras, and Conte Arab heads. After seeing some of your ideas, the terrorist will just have to wait. Great Stuff, Mike:)

Cheers Mike.
I think it was you who said that converters feed off each other. I think you're absolutely right. Like the idea of the terrorists.

Thats some great work Simon!!! You have some nice looking poses there and some great ideas, I,m glad to see some conversion work posted on the forum again.
You have me wanting to chop up some plastic again, its been awhile since I cut up any plastic.
The last time I had the knife out I just did a few simple head swopes on the new 95th riffles figures by italeri. The new plastic they switched to is hard as hell to cut and most of the body parts are to hard to cut away from the body to do any real interesting conversions. I,ll try them again when I get bored and see what I can come up with, till then the head swopes will have to do till I get another batch to chop up.

I started to paint them up and will post a few pictures if I ever get around to finnishing them.

Speaking of painting them, make sure you post some pictures of these guys when you finnish painting them up and keep posting any future work you do me and mike will steal all your cool ideas!!!:p I,m sure Fubar would also but I think he has been to busy with other projects at the moment.

You be careful! I tried slicing some ACTA figures, also pretty hard plastic, gave it up and got back to cutting up good old Canadian rubber.
