I,ll bet some of you are wondering what I,m doing with WWII figures and not napoleonics???:p but they looked pretty cool so I got a couple of sets and cut a few up for fun. Here are a few conversions I did in there ruff stage, I,ve still got to file out the extra 2 part putty and maybe do a little more filling but here are the conversions in the ruff stage. You can pretty munch see what was changed by the white 2 part putty if you look close.
Most are arm changes but a couple have been cut right in half and reworked a bit. Some are the good conversions that I thought out and the rest were what I did with the left over parts, so there are some funky ones from left over parts.

Nice work Tim!

I've got a whole bunch courtesy of Fubs to slice and dice at some point, but I still haven't gotten around to filling and painting a load of the Brit Paras and Germans. There are some really nice poses you've created there.

Need to start again. Thanks for the inspiration.

The figure that has been shot was one of the figures that was cut in half, the origanal was lying down. I also cut the riffle off and reworked it onto a new set of kneeling legs. This is my favorite of the bunch.

The sgt. with the 2 machine guns got some new arms from an officer and is a pretty simple conversion.

And I used the arms from the last figure on another figure so I just gave this figure some left over parts and got this conversion from left overs.

These 3 figures are mostly just changing arms around and left over parts. The one on the left was left over parts and had a head swop also.

The one in the middle has new arms and the legs were repositioned with the hot cold water treatment also. Whats with the gadget on the end of this figures gun??? Do any of you guys know what that thing is???

The last one is just a simple arm change around.

The 2 kneeling figures are again simple arm changes. The figure lying down is the other half of the wounded figure conversion I did. Its just the other 2 left over parts put to gether to make a new figure. I was thinking of leaving this figure like this as kind of a taking cover type of pose but, I think I,m going to make him a base and turn him into a running figure. The figure in the back in the distance was just a simple head swop-out from left over parts.

Excellent Tim! Dawg gone it you've distrtacted me again! Here I am deciding to start another 25mm Project { Waterloo, 1/20 Ratio} and I see Gi's, Marines, Tarawa seawall, German Armor enmasse all on the forum today.

Tim,

Please don't tell me that you painted those up in the 8 hours between posting the unpainted photos to the finished product, otherwise I might just have to start self harming with the blunt end of a paintbrush.....

Believe it or not I did! And I went crosseyed doing it. My eyes were shot by the time I was done and looking back now that I can see again I hate the highlights that I tried to put on the uniforms!!! They didn,t look that bad to my crossed eyes last night.:p I,ll have to blend them in or redue them and maybe add a light brown ink wash or something.

Thanks guys!

Great job Tim. It will take me at least 1 month to paint the Conte GI conversions I did. Now that I've seen yours, dawg gonit I need to make a couple more. I will post my conversions soon. I hope to start posting pics this Thursday, I just got this camera and it takes good shots. I've got them in my folder, and hopefully I can join the pic attack. I will show my WWII Paras, Red Devils, and Germans. I will be blind by 50. paint on convert on Mike.
