Can someone tell me if Conte will be present in London next month?

Rob

I very much doubt it Rob but even if they were they wouldn't have much to sell:D

Ken Jackson usually has some Conte on his table, and there was another seller (can't think of the name ) who had a fair bit of Conte stock.
Are you expanding the collection Rob?

Well i saw some of their ACW and WW2 figures sometime back and just thought i'd have another look.If i remember rightly they did some good US Airborne/German hand to hand sets and some great ACW casualty sets.

I had a chat with Ken at the London show last June and he was exasperated with the lack of Conte product that he had had on order for literally months. He had none of the casualty sets either WWII or ACW. I managed to get a couple of sets from Fubar on-line but have found not a single US supplier since who has any.

I think it was Joe (The Lt) who said something about Richard Conte getting more involved in the company and the customer base. When I was in Vegas last year I called at their warehouse (they have since moved) just to say hello I'm an avid fan and expecting some interest to be shown to a visiting Brit collector-nothing of the sort I was practically ignored by the staff with one of them being particularly vociferous.
If RC is indeed going to get involved it's not a moment too soon. Me I would have fired the lot of them in the Crystal city.

My god, thats not the sort of customer service you want is it!.Hopefully things will improve Reb,i've been reading the problems you had with Conte in the past, frustrating isn't it when all you want to do is give them your money and get their product!.I guess i won't hold my breath for London then;)

I find this interesting. I always found the staff at Conte very helpful upon unannounced visits. Mike in particular was always very kind. Never had much by way of answers on stock but friendly nonetheless as are Tosha, Jr. and Darlene. My pain goes back to having purchased the initial Viking ship and never having received rowers and my communication attempts with Conte himself going unanswered. My problem lies in Conte's false promises and false starts.I have been a collector of Conte products for many years and have spoken with Conte directly in Chicago. He took pride in his involvement with his company and now is giving it the brush off. I therefore find the promise of a new day with his involvement nothing more than a jagged little pill however, I do hope that I am wrong and stocks replenish swiftly. Waiting years for answers on collections is poor business all around.
