On the conte website, you can see their pirate ship and even preorder it. Does anybody know when its coming out?????:confused::confused::confused::confused:

Conte was advertising a pirate ship back in 1999, does that tell you something?
Having said the above, he did have a prototype at last years OTSN.

I clicked on preorder and it was weird because it said the total was $0.10:confused::confused:

Well order ten of them and keep a copy of the webiste for legal purposes later. We can sue them for breech of contract if they change the price

Hello, I am assuming that the .10 price is there because the software won't allow orders to process without a value beng present in the cost field; hence the presence of the arbirtrary cost witnessed upon processing. It appears that this allows pre-orderers to be put on a list with the actual cost to be determined later. I hope this helps! With this being said, I think I'll go ahead and order 200 ships!!! No, really now, I'm definitely going to order one of these. I read comments from RC from last year's Chicago show, and the ship sounds very promising. There are apparently going to be several "customizable" aspects to the ship, apparently for those who will be buying more than one. I'm hoping it's as elaborate as the Roman ship. And yes RC has been planning this for sometime, but IMHO, his creations are always well worth the wait. Hopefully he springs the pirate ship on us soon, as noted on his website, "it's closer than you think". I'm really looking forward to it; just knowing it will finally come to fruition is enough to satisfy me for the time being. Now if I only had somewhere to ship!! If it's nice enough, perhaps the "Chief Execitive" will allow me to set it up in the living room! LOL

I already pre-ordered over the phone. I'll wait, no problem. I have all of Conti's ships :)

The site said it would be about 4ft long :eek:

Maybe we'll see it at Windy City Show ;)

It doesn't seem to be 4ft long when you look at the prototype with the figures in front of it.

Don,t know exactly if this is a "pirate ship", but a plastic dealer "The Marxman" sells an unpainted mast ship made out of that formtech material.
It looks to be around 3 feet long.
He don,t have a website so you will just have to surf around to find it.
I seen it at last years OTSN and it looked pretty nice. I,m really not into that era.

I saw the Marxmen ship at the dedham show and it looked nice in person. I think LT.(Joe) posted a few pictures of it on the forum under the dedham show thread?

ModernReb;

I just supply the photos I'd taken in responses to fishheads response to qk5717 post and this post should answer your question.......The Lt.
