Am I right to be thinking that the Spartans were two years ago now? I can't remember anything else plastic coming out since either - is that the case too?

You are right that there have been no new plastic releases since the Spartans. I think there were supposed to be some plastic Persians also. I have not heard of any new rumors of more plastic stuff. Very unfortunate as Conte does do a fine plastic figure. I keep hoping that he would surprise us with the WW2 BOSS GIs in plastic or at least resin, but I think that's a No-Go.

Don't hold your breath.
Conte is great at big promises but in the end delivers very little.

Conte had trouble getting the plastic Persians done.He talks about it on his website in his Q & A.

Well it's a case of same old, same old.
Conte has made many promises about fantastic future ranges which have never seen the light of day (the metal sets are churned out at a steady rate).
I have more respect for makers like Armies in Plastic, Replicants and Steve Weston who announce new ranges when they are ready for production, rather than some bright idea for a series that may or may not be made.
