Guys, can someone help me with a general question re Conte ACW sets? On the website they seem to have a wealth of great looking sets, hand to hand, dead and wounded etc etc, but are these actually in stock do you know or have they just been left up on the page for a long time? I don't have one particular set in mind as so many are good, am just wondering if these are really in stock or will I be wasting my time?

Any info gratefully received

Rob

Most are out of stock. I think some of the Sons of the South series and the Union Zouaves are still in stock. The best thing to do is call and ask.
Joe

If they are not available direct check with some of the North American dealers.
From time to time Stan Clark of The Gettysburg Antique center will post here with a selection of hard to get items.

I was in Gettysburg last month. The Gettysburg Antique Center has a lot of hard to find Conte ACW. Its a great store !

Rob,

EBay seems to have a lot of Conte ACW sets (old and newer) at good prices, in many cases at below retail...!

Beware of the "Sons of the South" series, these sets of figures have a scale which is way out of porportion to their earlier ACW sets which I find are compatible to Brtains ACW sets. The "Sons of the South" series are in a league of their own! {eek3}

Thanks for tip, now you mention it I've a feeling someone else said that to me too so I'll steer clear of those.

Thanks again guys:salute::

Don't have any of the SOS series, but the other Conte ACW figs go perfectly with the WB pieces. You can see them on my Brawner's Farm thread in Britains section. Chris
