For those of you plastic toy soldier collectors and all others who haven't visited The Conte's web site RC's announced a major sale. Here are the details.


Bad News, Good News........

We've been experiencing some real problems at the warehouse... roof leaks...more roof leaks.... and then our landlord applied the wrong 'tar' to the roof which unfortunately turns to liquid when the temperature hits 85 or higher...since its been over 90 degrees for the past month you can only begin to imagine.......sigh....

We have had thousands of thin strings of tar dripping slowly down into the warehouse landing all over.......the result being we've had a real mess, needing to cover everything ...and are now being forced to move boxes to storage units so that we can avoid further damage.

The good news is that we'd rather sell some of these these sets now rather than having to move them to storage then back to a warehouse....the result:

I think you need to take it down a peg or two, I asked a perfectly simple question.

Nothing was deleted Michael, that is why I asked why he was mad. Didn't make any sense to me.

Does anybody know if these sets are reduced due to some form of roof damage or, are mint but, just not wanting to be stored elsewhere. It is not clear and, have not heard back from Conte

The implication, as I read it, is that the sets weren't damaged but they have to be moved. I'm not sure why only the boxed figures were affected and not the blister carded ones, but RC seems to want to get them out of the way. If you order any then you might want to be sure to ask about any damage.

My only trepidation is the $50.00 minimum order. I only want a few US paras, not an entire Conte collection.
