Painting and patching not quite complete but I got a camera for Christmas (old one died 2 months ago) so I jumped the gun a little to show my highland fig. conversions

Splendid job. I'm always impressed by guys who have the time and patience to do conversions like this.

Ray,

Top quality job. Those are seamless converts. Great work!

Simon

Thanks guys, this was a real quick and easy conversion, I cut the NA068 off the base and removed the arm holding the gun, it's pinned at the shoulder. I cut the inside of the elbow and straighted the arm and filled the gap. Reattach the armat the proper angle and thats it! The toughest part is matching the paint, any suggestions?
The NA067 kneeling figure was pretty simple as well, I originally was planning to have the other figure falling into his arms but the other pose just worked so well. so I removed the gun which has bothhands attached and is pinned at the wrists. dislodged the arms also pinned at the shoulders and adjusted to the proper angle. I added Prieser model figure plastic hands and it was done.
Ray.

Another minor conversion, I'm so tied of bland mounted officers, so I had him at least pick up his sword. also show the original side by side

Thanks, the arm is from the Elastolin adam set, various poses and I just kinda put the sword together from bits and pieces. It just seems all the mounted officers are rather bland and generic, startled horse, quarter turn rider, no weapons action.

You wouldn,t be accussing that fine british officer of cowardness now would you Ray?:p we have a lot of british members here on the forum that wouldn,t take such a statement like that lightly!!!:p

Tim, Tim, Tim,
You must have me mistaken for Ron! I'm an equal opportunity offender, if you look at the Mounted French line officer he's in almost the exact same pose!
Ray
PS and now thinking back I really just don't know why I didn't go to the Del Prado Pile, it would have been alot easier, DAAAA!?!?!

Now - Now

I love my English Brothers :D - well at least now - I really didn't back in 1815 on the fields of Waterloo !

I am really impressed with the great conversions and as I said before - they look as good as a new release - OUTSTANDING WORK - Ray !

i TOTALLY agree with you that K&C figures are rather bland and generic!

That's an awesome conversion and I'm sure you'd shown those boys at K&C what is meant by 'IMPROVEMENT!!!'
