Hey guys,
Latest project, also one of my favorite subjects the 8-wheeled german scout car. This is an NMA version (very affordable) Sdfkz 232 converted to a 263 scout version. superstructure was scratchbuilt out of plastic card and the large array antenna is soldered brass rod. This particular version sported a 30meter (I believe?) antenna which hand cranked out of a telescopic rigging.
I added a supply box and some "Spoils of War", a confiscated Figarti bicycle tied to the back.

I also took one of the marching Germans from WS-39 and removed the machine gun and ammo and gave him an Anti-Tank rifle and ammo box to add to that early war feel.

Awesome Ray. That is probably the best vehicle NMA produced and you made even better.

Do you have an original to do a side by side I would like to see the difference. I packed mine away. Now I have to buy another one . I was thinking of repainting mine. The paint got screwed up and as I said it is packed away:(

Nice work Ray! That's a seamless conversion and very effective.

Thanks guys, your too generous, certainly nothing better than your collection of repaints Carlos. Was looking thru that other thread with the repaints and had forgotten what a fine group we all have.

Nice conversions and modeling work on the vehicles. I tried many times but can not solder. I been practicing on castings so I can solder some artillery wheel on a kit. I might have to ask my friend to solder the wheels so they turn. Nice work. Leadmen

Superb job, Ray!
Semper Fi!

Hey Panzer:

It's been awhile, are you still forward deployed. Back in the States we all very much appreciate your service.

If my memory serves me well, you're a bite of master modeler yourself. I remember the many conversions you've done in the past with DAK and USMC themes. Are you working on anything now that you can share with all?

Thanks,

Carlos
