Converted NMA SdFkz 263 (1 Viewer)

Nice conversions and modeling work on the vehicles. I tried many times but can not solder. I been practicing on castings so I can solder some artillery wheel on a kit. I might have to ask my friend to solder the wheels so they turn. Nice work. Leadmen

Thanks Leadman,
Brass is an easy medium to work with especially with resin core solder. Other materials can be more difficult, if I can be of assistance let me know,

Superb job, Ray!

Hey Panzer:

It's been awhile, are you still forward deployed. Back in the States we all very much appreciate your service.

If my memory serves me well, you're a bite of master modeler yourself. I remember the many conversions you've done in the past with DAK and USMC themes. Are you working on anything now that you can share with all?

Thanks,

Carlos

Thanks Rick, I'm with Carlos, proud to have known you even at a distance and I'd love to see some more of your work.
God bless and protect you,
Ray

Ray, Carlos,
Thanks for the kind words. I'm back from Iraq. Current job has me hopping about. Just got back from a sweep in the Persian Gulf.

I've been working on a couple of projects since I got back. I'll post some pics once I'm finished.

Semper Fi!

Thank you again gentlemen and Nick, I would highly recommend you give it a shot it's fun, and very gratifying.
My projects are slow in progressing, generally lasting 6 months or more and I'll have a couple in progress all the time. Never a rush unless it's my own impatience. A great excuse to read and research on the internet, I do alot of that.
I really have to give credit toWlindsay who's explanation on construction really set my mind working.
Ray

Great work, how did you go about converting the Opel Blitz to the hard body Comm truck like that? That's a fantastic piece of work!!!

Thanks for the link. Looks like it'll be a fun little project. Regardless, You did a bang up job on that one & it looks great! Thanks!

Ray this looks so cool I wanna convert mine or someone else's! Mine is getting painted at the very least. I had so much fun with the AK23. What are the detail pieces you just added? And did you remove something from the sides where those white patches are?

KV,
Thank you for the compliments, It's great fun to both repaint and remodel these, it's one of my favorite WWII vehicles, so destinctive.
As for the white patches, I did remove some accessories that are molded into the body, the forward patch ids a helmt that is supposed to be hanging on the forward looking light, I removed it because I wanted to add the handrail that is on that location on all models I believe.
Also I removed a pack assembly and the star antenna mount from the rear since I was going with the large antenna array. All those pieces come in handy with other projects as well as the helmet I removed went on one of the medics for the Blitz ambulance.
I look forward to seeing your work.

Thanks Ray, I have to go find some dark grey primer. Then do all the stuff I did to the AK23 and then white wash the vehicle. I am really thinking hard about following your foot steps on this or another NMA vehicle. They are just so cost effective. I have so many projects to do. But this one is moving up the priority list. Made a lot of progress on the 2nd bedroom.
