A 12 gun Hurricane? Oh that I had a few million laying around. I know 8 guns was standard armament for the majority of the early Hurricanes that fought the BoB. How many/common were the 12 gun versions? That many guns must have had some effect on performance, so were these 12 gun rigs used specifically for bomber attack tactics as opposed to fighter vs fighter or could the 12 gun versions hold their own against the 109's? Inquiring minds want to know. -- Al

Al, I believe they were fitted to some of the MkII versions but I think I read somewhere the extra weight hindered performance.
