I've been working on my 54 mm Western Town.
I've decided to paint some of the stock figures in more suitable colors.
I've also made a couple of dozen conversions that were also painted.
I did that to hide the multi-colored plastic parts used in making the conversions.

Here's part one

Part 2:

Ladies and Railroad Workers

Yes, Mam!!

Cavalry Conversions

more to follow...

Here you can see the guy in the middle is an original casting. The horrible fleshtone plastic color is why everyone got painted.
This was a simple conversion. I cut his hand off and replaced it with a hand holding a gun.

The figure on the left was made from the figure on the right with a few replacement parts.

From left to right:

Removed the right hand and pistol from this figure.

Middle figure donated his head.

The far right is the original figure, unpainted

And here you can see that the head was replaced and the hand with the flintlock replaced by a six shooter.
Then painted in Snakebit Leather. Great color for the Old West.

And that's how it done.

Here is a stock figure on the left and the converted the right. I sliced the head off and replaced it with a head that already had a hat on. I then cut the top of the hat on the ground off and replaced it with a small pot from some other figure. Looks like a pot sitting on a platter.
Although the guy holding the gun may need to use that pot, if he's facing Doc Holiday or Billy The Kid.

Alamo... A cool 2 piece conversion.

Atlantic
I like Atlantic figures. This is the hard to find mounted 7 th cavalry set. Just thought I would throw that in.

More another time.

Nice! The TSSD figs are great for conversions. I made the Alamo defenders into 1860s fighters as well.
