Something you may want to try using very little space and giving you the chance to show off some of your favorite figures then putting them back in their resting place. Here's the results and look at the fun you can have playing with your toy soldiers.....The Lt.

The Lt.,

I've always wondered how well those backgrounds would look behind a dio. They look great. Where did you find yours?

Carlos

Here's a few more mini Dio's created to be photographic using the background photo of Isandlawana which are placed in my mini shadow boxes feature in the shelving that was built for me by my Brother inlaw. Featured are four sets from Frontline......The Lt.

HI Lt,
The photographs came out great! What did you use to make the ground cover?
Cheers,
Benjamin

Nice work Joe! I really have to get busy on stuff. The gf is in DC working on litigation at the world court. She will be gone 2 weeks. Busy with Clan stuff now looking forward to hot days and lonely nights. :(

And I'm sure Jeff that after he's finished painting he'll be dreaming about his lady instead of King and Country....The Lt.

Lt,
These new pics look great, I really liked the first two in the thread. With the backdrop it really feels like "you are there". Well done!
Mike

Thanks Mike it's not that difficult to create one . The following is a group of photos taken and made up from a simple set up. I've got to thank Joachim for the background photo of Isandlwana. I've put this together for Damian whose ask me to start a story like on Isandlwana. This is a sample of what's to come at a later date. Don't mean to tease Damain......The Lt.

Joe.

Excellent stuff as always :) I wish I had a camera like yours for taking close ups.

Regards

Jeff

Jeff and Mike thanks for your comments. Jeff the camera I have is HP Photosmart R707 I purchased awhile ago. If I'm not mistaken I've seen it recently advertised at $99.00 wish that's what I had paid for it. It's a Gem of a camera and is rated very highly. In taking photos I use the MARCO setting on my camera using natural lighting and no flash unless needed, I do not have a tripod for I feel it's not needed. The results are achieved by taking a number of photos of each scene you want to create. I then select a photo from the group and if needed to create the photo I want I crop it. The results of the photos shown are from working with close to a hundred photos taken. It's a nice excuse to play with your soldiers and great pass time. You can then keep your favorite photos on your computer putting your figures back in their resting place and when ever you want to you can sit back in front of your computer and watch them whenever you want to.......The Lt.

Joe, The camera I have doesn't have a Macro setting which means that I can't get the really good close ups as yourself. The photo's that I have taken of the RHA set that I am painting on the other thread are a mixture taken with my own camera and a much much better one (with a Macro setting and higher specification) which I borrow from a friend from time to time. You can tell which ones are from mine

Thanks for the advice re natural light...I tried this on the RHA riders and got better results. I always have to enhance and crop due to poor picture quality.

Thanks

Jeff
