First up this month are sets CRU087-CRU097 Crusader Knights from the Hospitaller, Templar, and Teutonic Military Orders. We've done these figures primarily in "action" poses, heavily engaged along the walls of Acre. With wonderful sculpting and a painting level higher than we've done on previous releases for the range, these figures will make a great addition to your Crusades collection. We've produced these in relatively low quantities despite the Crusades being one of our most popular ranges, so we don't expect them to last! They will be shipping mid November. We hope you like them!

CRU087 Templar Knight with Standard $89.95
CRU088 Hospitaller Knight Charging with Axe $74.95
CRU089 Templar Knight Advancing with Sword $69.95
CRU090 Templar Knight Charging with Mace $74.95
CRU091 Templar Knight Swinging Flail $69.95
CRU092 Hospitaller Knight with Halberd $69.95
CRU093 Hospitaller Knight with Standard $89.95
CRU094 Teutonic Knight Charging with Sword $74.95
CRU095 Templar Knight Attacking with Sword $74.95
CRU096 Hospitaller Knight Fighting with Sword $69.95
CRU097 Templar Knight with Two Shields $69.95
Shipping Mid-November 2015

Like the guy said in that old Guinness commercial said: "Brilliant"!

These will be great new additions to my crusaders collection.

My BEST nightmare come true! {eek3}:rolleyes::salute::{sm3}

Gonna have to scrape a lot nickels together for this release!

A question for Matt, though. What material did you use for the drawn swords? Stainless steel?

A question to Matt: These look really nice; I'm just wonder about the sizing...
...I have various FL figures incl. Romans, Barbarians, Union troopers, Crusaders, NAPS, etc. and I've seen several of the other ranges in the flesh as well, and they're all approximately the same relative scale. However, the first FL Crusaders I bought way back from the first release in the range were very large. Are the forthcoming Crusaders sized like the Crusaders from your first wave, or are they scaled more like the Crusaders from subsequent releases for this range (excluding the hand full of repainted reissues of some of the first Crusader wave)?

Thank you,
Joe

Good questions.

Swords are not photo etched steel as we have done on the Romans, but they aren't regular casting metal either like the first Crusaders. They're much stronger than that which is why we've done it this way instead of photo etch because they're strong enough but also have the correct shape of the sword. The disadvantage of the photo etch is that it's flat.

The size is 1/30th. :) They're not as big as the first Crusaders I don't think, some of which were quite large by our standards. But to me, they all go together well in any case.

Best,

Matt

Christmas wish came true for this year, strickly Crusaders for the Holidays, heh, heh :)

Matt,
Thank you kindly for your informative response. I'll be ordering several of them straight away. The sculpts are fantastic! One last question, and hopefully not a prying, intrusive one...
You mentioned that these were produced in relatively low quantities.... I'm certainly fine with that but just curious as to why with it being such a popular range and such. It's not a crucial enquiry, of course, just an innocent desire to understand.

Thank you,
Joe

Just love these !

Especially CRU087, CRU091 and CRU094.

Thank you look forward to these.

Hospitallers first for me. Then the Teutonic Knight and finally the Templars.

These are indeed great figures. Just ordered CRU 087, 089, 091, 094, 096 and 097 ^&grin^&grin^&grin

Hospitalers are the first to be ordered, then the Templars. The Teutonics has been tempting, but they are too few to really make a great collection to have. I will be keeping my eye on these, and make add sure I do not miss out on anything I like

I hope we get to see a crusader siege engine soon, and some saracen cavalry too.

If FL keeps up a monthly cadence like they have recently we should have some new stuff in the next 48 hours!

Matt, is really great in keeping it rolling. So maybe around Thanksgiving, we got some more future releases, that we will be thankful about.
