I have taken a couple of the Viking Sets with the Monks and created some new CRUSADER FIGURES for my collection.

Here is one of the figures I did a little custom paint job to lighten him up and bring out a little color - this monk will be joining my Crusades Diorama soon !

The first two pics are before the touch up and the last three are after....

Not bad for a young beginning artist ?

This is a lot of fun to make changes on figures and touch them up ! I felt the original Conte Monk was way too dark in skin tone and base. Also I made a grey collar for his outfit so his face would stand out more.

These Conte Monks go great with K&C Crusaders !

I do enjoy working with the paints and creating something a little different. These Conte figures are great to work with because people are dumping them on Ebay right now - you can get these wonderful sculpted figures and paint them up for a small purchase price.

I can't image doing that to a $39.00 figure !

Yea - painting is very liberating ! I can't tell how how many times in the early years of buying figures how depressed I was when I got a figure with paint chips - well that not a problem anymore !

Vallejo Paints are worth the investment !
